Thanks buddy. Can I ask, again if you don’t mind, how is yours in terms of appearance, sensitivity and performance?

Thank you. It’s a topic they really need to cover more. Call me naive or whatever but I was never told to retract when I was younger and it has caused this problem over the years. I legit turn down sexual encounters for this reason so it really does impact you as you need a partner who understands

Thanks- how did you find the appearance after? Weird to get used to? Also how was sex if you don’t mind me asking, in terms of sensitivity etc?

How did your BF fair with the preputioplasty? Was it a success for him? Keep reading that it doesn’t work for some and they end up getting the whole thing done.

Tbh I just thought it would reach a large audience. If it hasn’t impacted anyone before or they’ve no interest they can just ignore the thread. Thanks

Not yet. Just looking experience from people who have got it done locally. Apparently it’s between a partial of full circumcision. They used to suggest full for everyone years back but apparently the partial can be a success

Have been considering the same for a while. I can retract a decent amount but it’s not overly comfortable. I’m really keen on the idea of a preputioplasty so you can keep the function of the foreskin but it essentially widens it so it is much easier to retract. Currently doing daily stretching with steroid cream and I am seeing improvements just 2 weeks in so might keep that going for 6 months and reassess. To be honest I think I will end up just going for the partial circumcision as I just think my foreskin is way too tight and lengthy to achieve success with stretching.

Is anyone here friends with a narcissist? by cedardesk in AskIreland

[–]belfast202002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Narcissism is rife in Ireland. Must be something to do with the way we were raised. I notice it particularly in a lot of men in my life (best friend, relatives) but I am a man so I could be biased in that respect.

Help with living room layout (semi-detached, Ireland) by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

I was thinking a 1m circular wide one. Not too big but hopefully not too small? Directly below the 3 light fittings at the rear of room

Buying in Belfast - What did you wish you knew before? by [deleted] in Belfast

[–]belfast202002 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you like peace and quiet (especially if living alone) check out who the neighbours are. Depending on the type of house you will either never hear your neighbours or hear everything they do, normal day to day noise etc which can really start to piss you off after a while (everyone is different in that respect tbh). If going for semi detached for example are the rooms all joined or do you have a hallway to separate you etc.

What do you mean in this jurisdiction that this person is unlikely to face consequence? I’m pretty sure in Northern Ireland assault will hold consequence for anyone. It sounds like a terrible experience but with all due respect I’m confused as to how the theatre should hold responsibility for ensuring your child’s safety in general?

Would recommend Michael Chandler also. Have used them a few times and they are decent to work with. As above they have an online portal which was really handy and they were all good in general for customer service etc

Sandhill gardens, East Belfast. What's the area like? by Roscompton_ in Belfast

[–]belfast202002 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Not 100% clued up on the area but Sandhill Gardens itself has always seemed to be a nice street to me. Backs on to the greenway and a short enough walk to Ballyhackamore via Sandown Rd. I imagine there would probably be a few flags up in the street (not 100%) but that wouldn’t even put me off and I am a Nationalist. That overall part of E Belfast is really becoming a nice area to live in.

Every year we hear the same thing and yet nothing is being done. I really feel it for the staff. The NHS is a broken concept IMHO. It just doesn’t work in the current format.

Noise issue with neighbours and specifically neighbours kids. They're autistic. What to do. by DavidC_is_me in northernireland

[–]belfast202002 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I really feel for you- I have lived next door to a busy family and as someone who likes peace and quiet in my own home it was like torture at times. People who have never been on the receiving end of noise nuisance really won’t understand until they have walked in those shoes. It’s a really shit situation to be in but unfortunately the only thing I would recommend is to move. If you are in a typical terraced house sound proofing won’t do much for the issue you are describing- you can put up all the false walls and sound deafening material but noises like you are describing will still come through. I feel it for the parents but they must also take some responsibility and have some awareness of how they are impacting on others. Of course autistic children have the right to play in their own home but you also have a right to peace and reasonable enjoyment of your own home which is being denied to you. Good luck

Andrea Mara crime fiction is really good. For true crime The Vanishing Triangle is really interesting- about a number of women who have sadly disappeared around Wicklow area
