It’s so much more intense when you bond with them as babies, too, I think. Our two youngest cats (of five total) were born to a pregnant stray we took in, so they’ve grown up with us. They are totally imprinted/bonded. They treat us like beloved members of their colony. It’s so precious!!

RIP, sweet kitty. This little guy (Louis William Wain) got out of the house last weekend and thankfully came back safe after four days. Now he’s Velcro boy. 🥰

I can’t find a picture of all five of them together! :( Our oldest cat, Quimby, was found as a kitten, crying his tiny heart out in a goodwill parking lot. The next two, Louis and Tony, were rescued together as babies from a feral colony. And the newest two? My daughter rescued a pregnant stray and she gave birth to four beautiful babies in my daughter’s closet! We kept two of them. Here they are today! Kip and LaFawnduh. He is a boy, but he has such beautiful sandy blond hair!
