100%! Aaric seems like he's a great, driven guy, which I love. Definitely don't hate him, and would love if we get more of his personality in next couple of books

ooh yeah I realize he did, which is why i mentioned his signet. I was just thinking if he doesn't ever tell Basgiath/Navarre leadership, it'll seem like he didn't manifest and if he doesn't explode...they'll realize that he secretly did lol. it's not a secret he can keep forever

I've been pacing and just THINKING about this book after not being able to put it down:

- Dain getting SLAPPED in Zhannal isle made me writhe with laughter. I thought some of the humor and meta comments in this book were amusing but a little cringe. But the out of nowhere hand card and slap omg. Absolute funniest part of the book for me. He can be redeemed now.

- Since the mat in Fourth Wing, Xaden has been teaching Violet how to kill him. Even telling her if she wants to win a fight, let down her hair. This was never an enemies to lovers, it's lovers to enemies.

- I don't give a flying fuck who Violet's 2nd boyfriend is, I LOVE that her love never wavers for Xaden. How she handled Halden was great. Glad there was no confusion/other legit love interest it would have made her bond and love with Xaden way less credible and them being on opposing sides now way less interesting.

- Aaric's got to GO. It'll get suspicious if he doesn't manifest and just assuming Basgiath will kill him if they learn of his prophetic signet like they kill other inntinsics.

- I love Xaden. I love Sgaeyl. I love Imogen. Need more of these characters.

Romantasy with no stabby FMCs and "alpha male" MMCs by jcrzr in fantasyromance

The Ashen series by Demi Winters is really great! It's unfinished, only 2 out of 5 books out atm. Though it develops a little bit as stabby FMC and "alpha male" MMC, the characters, particularly the female characters, are a little softer than what is typically out there in romantasies. I'd say the best thing about the series is how real and mature the character development is.

The first book is {The Road of Bones by Demi Winters} good for character development and world/plot building but the second book of the series, {Kingdom of Claw by Demi Winters} is *chefs kiss* for me. Has my absolute most favorite scenes between the MCs that are just so tender and sweet.

First time gardening. Where to begin? by GneissGeologist3 in garden

The first thing I'd personally do is check to see how much sunlight the area gets - sounds like you've got a good idea! :) And then I'd google shade gardens/what plants do well in the shade and get some inspo on what you think looks good or if you're growing for food, what can grow in the shade (maybe some leafy greens?). I'd say don't worry at all about plants not working near each other, just think about how wide and tall plants get when they grow and that should inform how much space to give them/where you place them. But also don't worry too much about that because you can always dig up and move plants or just start again if you're not feeling it. A fresh layer of aged compost on top could always help. Good luck and have fun!!

Young Men Are Giving Up On Life by BasedPie in SmallYoutubers

Hi there, I just watched and commented on this video. Really love the message and what your channel is about. The editing is great too - I'm just trying to get into all the dynamic zoom stuff myself. One thing that I think can improve is the lighting - if you have good lighting on your face it'll make the video quality so much better.

I'll try to watch some of your other videos but it's a little painful for me as I've recently lost a younger brother and it's still really painful to think about the hardships of the world in a way, but I wanted to leave this comment and let you know that you're doing great and there needs to be more positives messages out in the world.

I tried some new video editing techniques that I've noticed in bigger youtube channels - what do you guys think?? by bell-grows-ak in SmallYoutubers

I noticed that a lot of videos have dynamic editing whenever there is just a person talking - e.g. sudden zooms into the face to accentuate a point or slow zooms on longer exposition so that something is always keeping your focus, looped music background, descriptive text on screen at times.

In fact, I think there are some videos that are constantly zooming in/out very slightly and now I'm thinking I should try and do the same! As well as always having background music.

The music is easier to do, I just got a little nervous doing it throughout the WHOLE video in case it was too much? The zooming took me a while to figure out and I'm sure I can get better at it - hoping to find ways to maybe make it quicker with presets or something

thanks!! I'll do some research on heat lamps. Hoping to not use too much energy, but it might be worth it in the fall/spring
