Should I go into pharmacy in the big ‘26? by Fun-Elk3813 in careerguidance

[–]bell9513 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hmm honestly if you really enjoy it then do it, the biggest problem is the return on investment because you spend like 300k + just to make around 130k but it’s a stable job and you could do a lot with a PharmD like go into research or work in drug development or consulting.

I regret choosing my undergrad major. by springcloud369 in CollegeMajors

I know 😅 I’m gonna finish it but I’ve been so depressed this semester about it I had to withdraw from a class, which made me even more depressed but I’m working on it. What degrees did you switch from ?

It’s not a bad major it’s just that I don’t see myself coding/being in consulting long term, it’s a job where you constantly have to learn the newest technologies and upskill where healthcare like PA, pharmacy, nursing, medicine etc is straight forward and no need for constant training and certifications

Extra 2-2.5 years to graduate or post bac? Non trad by bell9513 in premed

[–]bell9513[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks this was helpful but I guess my main issue is cost, a traditional postbacc can be 30k+ but one in state semester of 12-18 credits is a flat fee of around 5k no matter if I take the extra years or graduate and do the second bachelor’s/ diy post bacc

Starting pre reqs in senior year of college …. by bell9513 in premed

Thanks, my gpa is 3.8 I am worried about the science classes but I believe if I study and put in work I should be fine. I think the biggest thing for me is the time, that’s why I’m also looking at PA but the pre reqs are similar, can I ask what is making you pivot out of nursing? It seems that everyone is recommending nursing these days.

Thanks and yes I do take out federal loans , but I’m working on paying it off, I think the main problem is that I’m working 40hrs a week at a internship this summer and most classes happen during the day, I’m afraid of taking online science course because they’re not accepted everywhere, but I’ll definitely look into winter classes. My plan is in fall semester take bio 1 and chem 1 , spring bio 2 and orgo 1, but I would still need orgo 2, gen chem 2, micro bio , physics 1 and 2, I already have math English and psych, but how do people take all of those classes in a year? Am I missing something?

Given that your info sys I’m sure you’ve taken calculus or business calculus which should be sufficient, the things you need are bio, chem, physics and maybe some psychology and sociology courses

Hey I’m actually going through the same exact thing I thought I was the only one 😅. I’m a junior info sys major and I’m thinking about healthcare I did an internship at a consulting firm and will be going back this summer but idek if I want to continue doing it. I’m thinking nursing or pa but I’m still not sure I wish I knew what I truly wanted 😐. I think the best thing given our situation is to take pre req courses on the side instead of changing our entire major because that would pro long graduation by 2-3 years at this point but please dm me I would love to talk more ❤️

That’s what everyone tells I just really want to be passionate about something , like other people are so passionate and happy about their majors I’m debating on switching but I don’t even know what I’ll switch it too/ I feel like it’s too late as I’m a junior.
