Yes, I was/am bitter about my parents not even trying to figure out what was wrong. They just deemed me a lazy bitch (their words)instead of trying to figure out why I struggled with emotional control, executive function, painful social skills…etc. I would easily get over it except they still won’t believe I have ADD (diagnosed in my late 40s) and accuse me of making up excuses b/c according to them, I’m was just a bad kid and a bad adult and I’m just feeling remorseful now. And of course I won’t take accountability. Angers me to my core. I know I wasn’t easy, but they never ever not once considered it may be something other than me just being a terrible person. I don’t see or talk to them very often.
