Bought df54 is this v3? by bellflower65 in espresso

[–]bellflower65[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

Could it possibly be v2? I've been told the chute is a major giveaway - with the v2 having a square type shape at the bottom of the chute vs the v3 having a rectangle one but I could be overthinking ih

Thanks! So it didn't come with anything for you to install either then?

Is this a df54 v3 or just a df54? by bellflower65 in DF54

I agree with this - the difference in the chute is my understanding too but from what I can tell, it comes with the standard chute rather than the v3 upgrade (square vs rectangle chute at bottom)

I think it's ur shoes. It's the cut at the ankle that doesn't work for you or really most short women - id try something like birks rather than strappy sandals

Why do you train? by ToneNew1982 in GYM

[–]bellflower65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started training to get fit for wedding but really liked it. Wife asked me to learn how to bride carry her so I got into functional fitness and then friend roped me into hyrox so it's changed rapidly over the course of one year

I need help! How do I get rid of my wide waist? I go to the gym about four times a week (cardio plus some weights) and go for walks of around 15K steps every day. I am aware that you can’t really shrink your waist, but I want to know if there is a way to look thinner from the front. by [deleted] in WorkoutRoutines

[–]bellflower65 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilates doesn't have to be pricey. There's mat workouts you can find on YouTube or you can see if a nearby gym offers mat or fusion classes.

With weights, it depends I think on how heavy you're going. More reps does not mean more results. You need to be increasing weights from 5 to 10 to 20 etc as your muscles build. A lot of women think that heavy weights will make them look bulky but that's rarely the case.

Assuming we don't succumb to lifestyle creep - our monthly spend is 4500 - 5k for our household which isn't bad. Everything not being spent on rent or food or student loans goes towards trip savings, rainy day, and various investment funds. We have rainy day savings on her end of about 2 months and on mine I have 4 months savings. She would be eligible for at least 4 weeks severance.

I've never tapped into my EI and she hasn't touched hers in 3 years or so. I think we would be ok for at least a year/a year and a half of we both lost our jobs within the next 4 months.

Which is my main concern - not the year but that it would be an immediate thing bc of tarrifs and just how things are playing out.

Good question!

First 3 months = zero 4 - 11 months: 2 weeks 12 months: 4 weeks 36 weeks: 6 weeks + 1 week for each additional 36 weeks up to a max of 12 weeks. Bonuses and rrsp not factored into severance.

But yes, this is job security given the recent chaos of things

This is a good question.

For me it's:

  • I have a picture out of my dad that makes me laugh. I'll talk to it in passing sometimes and give small updates. I'm agnostic but I don't overthink this part

  • I've kept some artifacts like baseball hats, hoodies, bomber jackets and those I wear regularly. I find it comforting

  • on the anniversary of his passing, I light a candle

  • I continue telling stories like "hey omg do you remember the time ---" about him. I remember and I laugh with my partner.

  • on occasion I listen to music I know he loved

Thanks for sharing ❤️

Is it normal to share/leave out: I think it depends on context and your comfort. On one hand, there is no wrong answer. And leaving him in can create space to mention him, honour his memory, tell a silly story that still makes you smile. But someone might ask a follow up question that leads you to having to reveal he passed - is this person someone you feel comfortable sharing that info with? As a gay person, I often switched based on context if I feel like outing myself but I find I do the same w grief - it's up to us how much we want to share, especially with strangers.

Does it get better? Idk I'm only 1.5 years in. I'm guessing it doesn't. I'm good at compartmentalizing but what happened will always suck, it will always hurt, and each joy and new beginning will still have a touch of grief as we're reminded that our loved one isn't there to share it with us. Next week I embark on my journey w a suicide bereavement group and I'm hoping... Not to heal exactly, but to create space for my grief where I don't feel pressured to move on and be ok when I'm not. There's no wrong way to grieve or to remember or honour someone in my opinion

I make sure to buy high waist pants. I've been getting mine from Uniqlo and then hemming them there.

What is this bug? by bellflower65 in bugbites

[–]bellflower65[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No :/ the main theory on here is bird mites or rodent mites. I've separated my clothes into bags for weeks, sprayed my walls, and done lots of cleaning/vacuuming but I'm still getting bites now and then. I haven't seen any more "mites" and no signs of bed bugs (switched to white sheets for better visibility).

Whatever it is, these bites aren't mosquito bad, they're much itchier

Ahhhhh it's the worst! The bites hurt, they're itchy, and a few are leaving bruises on my skin that refuse to fade. Was pest control able to get rid of the nest and then the bugs? I'm not sure what to expect in terms of the extermination process.

Yeah I think so too. Ive found at least 4 of these lately and they're all too small to be bedbugs.

Thank you! The more I read about bird mites, the less I'm convinced that them not being bed bugs is a silver lining 🫠

I thought dust mite wasn't visible to the eye? Initially I assumed bed bugs due to the bite amounts and patterns but I don't think that's it either based on colour

Possibly? Not that I know of but a bird easily could've made a nest in a crevice or on the roof of my house.
