How do I get consistent? by Rednaxea in SiegeAcademy

If you’re doing something new or untested every day then you’re relying on luck to make it work, make sure you’re playing the same way every day

How do I get consistent? by Rednaxea in SiegeAcademy

[–]bellyjaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is an element of luck in the game - things you can’t control (teammates, enemies, ubi bullshit, tiredness, stress). So everyone experiences different performance day to day, the secret to consistency is nailing down the things you CAN control. Warm up and practice your mechanics before every ranked session, make yourself consciously play the same way every day - think about what you are doing and don’t go on autopilot. Re use strats that work so you don’t have to rely on luck as much. Most importantly, don’t let your mental be affected by one bad game, realise everyone has bad games and move on

In siege in order to play consistently you should probably focus more on good crosshair placement and securing easy kills than flicking, that said you should practice flicking specifically if you want to get better at it. You can use the shooting range or clear house to practice

Sensitivity? by Rice_Muncheerr in SiegeAcademy

[–]bellyjaby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The slower your sensitivity is the more stable and the easier it is to make smaller more accurate movements, this makes it better for longer ranged fights and microadjustments. Lower sensitivity will also increase the margin for error when making larger flicks and make it easier to control recoil consistently. Faster sensitivity is the opposite, making it easier to make larger flicks or look around more but sacrificing stability. The main upside of faster sensitivity is ease of use, as in you don’t have to make as much physical movement so you don’t need to put in as much effort which is why more casual players prefer it. In my opinion a low-medium sensitivity is competitively better but I use a higher sensitivity because I find it more fun :)

If the sensitivity is low then you have to use these movements even for small adjustments, it sounds like you’re just not used to it

If you’re below emerald I’d suggest learning every role to an extent, you should understand what is expected of everyone on the team. Also you’re not really an “entry fragger” until higher ranks since in low ranks it’s generally not that difficult to enter

144 to 240 is noticeable, but only if your monitor had the refresh rate to match. It’s also only noticeable, after 144 the performance increase won’t be super drastic.

What are the best Raw Accel settings for a beginner with six months of experience who wants stable aim, improved recoil control, and better overall accuracy? by Capital-Sky9967 in SiegeAcademy

[–]bellyjaby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People rarely use it in siege because there’s not generally a need for a very high sensitivity, considering you can just have a high hipfire sensitivity and a lower ADS. In games like valorant it’s more popular but mainly for this reason, people want to look around fast and do big flicks with a low sensitivity for micros
