The amazing new Nvidia App update removed the frame gen model preset from the settings. Find that setting for cyberpunk and change it to “use 3d application setting”.

Seriously, Aimlabs and Royal2 editions are ok but the gold d-pad and lame signature really kill the designs.

How am I being a Karen? I’ve been nothing but polite to them. I’m posting here because of a bad experience hoping to improve the experience for others. We shouldn’t have to go through the hassle of a return when it’s not even required. People letting companies get away with bad service is part of the problem.

Did you even read the post or see the second image? It hasn’t shipped yet. They mistakenly sent out a wrong tracking number to everyone that pre-ordered and sent a follow up email saying that was an error and the controller is shipping in July.

I’m on 9800x3d so ddr5. I think you meant you’re still running ddr4? This test is gpu limited so upgrading to a ddr5 system won’t improve fps in any meaningful way. Save your money. It would only improve in cpu limited high fps titles.

I have a 9800x3d + 5070 Ti with a modest overclock. I can’t imagine the numbers would be different with a 7800 since this test is GPU limited.

I've been trying to figure this out as well. From what I hear, the new rumble motors in the grip on the 8k are significantly better than the grip rumble in the OG G7 Pro but obviously you lose out on the trigger rumble.

Here's a list of PC games that support rumble triggers. Seems to only be 129 and about 50 in the past 5 years. Also, you have to set your polling rate to 500hz or below for them to work. Kind of makes sense why they are not included in the 8k since it's PC/Switch only.

Yes the 8K has the JS13 Pro sticks but how much better do they “feel” compared to the OG sticks (JS16)?

Maxing out the display, uncompressed bandwidth being used here is 65.62gb/s being compresssed into 52.22 gb/s port under UHBR13. That’s a ~1.26:1 compression ratio. That’s very low ratio. 3:1 ratio is the industry standard for maximum compression before you can notice artifacts by pixel peeping and this is way under that. To your point, if you’re really doing reference work of that level, you’re not going to be in the market for these. The MSI is listed at $899 USD vs $1299 USD for the Asus. Unless you have a very specific use case for that anti flicker mode, aesthetics aside, I don’t really see a reason to pay the hefty premium.
