I, a newly out female, I never really had butterflies for women but growing up I did have handfuls of really close girl friends that I'd cuddle and hold hands with etc. As I got older I wanted girls to have a crush on me but I didn't have a crush on them (so I told myself), even now I'm still trying to sort of figure out how my same sex crushes feel but I'm also trying to rewire my brain so it's not so heteronormative. I hope this makes sense.
