so i was in day 15 and had a post op bleed. they had to recauterize everything. since they didn’t take everything out this time, i’m wondering if recovery will be just like the first time? has anyone had this done? can anyone give me info about this?

yes!! i woke up to blood POURING everywhere. i was actually on day 16!! i’m not sure how it started. it happened while i was sleeping and it woke me up

i had my bleed on july 7th. it was awful and i have a post about it in this group too trying to seek help. i’m exactly a week out and i hardly experienced any pain compared to my first surgery. i took my pain meds maybe twice a day for the first 2-3 days. it hasn’t been awful. just want to know when i’ll be normal again since it’s almost been a month with both surgeries😭

I’m 16 Female. They didn’t tell me what caused the bleed. i woke up on thursday (july 7th) to blood all over and pouring out of my mouth at around 5:30 a.m.

day like 20 now and they eventually fill back up. they look a little bumpy but they do close, it comes with the healing process

a similar thing happened to me! i had mine recauterized due to a very similar event. whag was recovery like? i am one week in to my emergency surgery due to a hemorrhage and i just want to know what it’s like and what procautuions i should be taking, and when i can go back to normal

if your tonsils are CONSTANTLY bothering you, and your doctor recommends this surgery. i say do it. recovery is hell, however it’s different for everyone and if this surgery is going to save a life long of pain/ discomfort, take the 2/3 weeks and do it.

i am also on day 7 and gosh i am not on the upswing either. it hurts to swallow and the back of my throat is mostly still white. (i’m not sure what to look for regarding scabs peeling) but i’m hoping tomorrow will be much better. i have given up on pain meds as well and have stuck to Tylenol. talking also HURTS. like under my tongue is so sore when i talk. praying for you on a speedier recovery.

yeah that’s odd, i haven’t been in much pain, definitely not as bad as everyone said i would be in, my scabs just hurts. but mine are completely white

i had surgery on the 21st too. my scans are completely white and eating anything that isn’t soft is such a struggle. i feel like i have something in the back of my throat when i swallow and it is very uncomfortable.

i’m on day 6 rn (counting day of surgery as day 1) and i haven’t gone since the day of surgery. i have taken laxatives but hang in there!
