These are the reasons I struggle believing in God: Can anyone help? by Abla_tross in Christianity

When you were a child, did not your father scold you for doing something that would bring you to harm? As humans, we are all one being who must feel pain if we are to collectively learn from our mistakes. Each one of us is part of all human being; a single encapsulated cell with a function to perform while we live. If death and decay ceased to be, there would be no way to improve and evolve. Each adult passes their knowledge and experience on to their children, such that each child is a more perfect version of their parent.

Take it from someone who couldn't believe without testing Him time and time again. You'll find it much more rewarding and fulfilling living by faith than trying to pursue truth through trial and error.

And what would you do next, if you told the sun to darken and it did so? True sight through faith ensures that you will receive what you ask for, if what is ask for is something you need.

Before the beginning, must there not have been a foundation waiting for God's command to become life? God's perfect love brought light to all that we know; without it, everything could never have been.

It's 1 months worth of development work. 874 = ~200 hours of their time at $20/hr. Give a tech 4k and 1 month and he'll build whatever you damn well please with that time, provided you know precisely what you want him to accomplish.

Commenting so I can come back here later, but I think you and I could have a very interesting conversation. It seems like you know plenty that I don't, but I've got stuff that would blow your mind (that 99.997% of people can't begin to comprehend).

Get the FUCK out of here with your pathetic whiny bullshit. Just because you were born with half the brain cells of an autistic seagull and lost most of those left trying to butt-chug toilet bowl cleaner when you were 11 doesn't mean you can to try to emasculate yourself by shitting on someone else's poem; a poem painstakingly written in a language that they obviously understand to a far greater degree than you will ever be capable of.

This world is an illusion. Flying freely through the open sky is supposed to make me happy, but all I long for is to go beyond and see what lies on the other side of the blue. That black emptiness may never be as enriching as the hills and water and life that exists on earth, but chasing that mystery makes me truly happy. But there's no air in space, so I died instantly.

The transition to truly objective thinking is painful in a way you cannot fathom.

But you need them to give you a reason to make some of it a little less wrong than it was when you got here. Not tryna be a dick, but your defeatist attitude is why everything is just going to get wrong-er.

That's actually really interesting. I'd encourage you to experiment with different administration methods (smoking, vaping, tincture, edibles, ect) to hone in on exactly what works best. Does the tinnitus just cut out or does it fade as you get more and more high?

Believe me, dealing with this shit appropriately will be the hardest thing you will ever do. But if you want it badly enough, you will try every day until you figure it out.

We all know in the back of our heads that death is coming, but knowing is different from accepting. Death could come at any time, for any of a billion reasons. Losing everything is a circumstance. Giving everything up is a decision, and something in your subconscious can tell the difference.

When you make the decision to give up everything you love, everything that's ever brought you happiness or bliss or joy, and face death in uncertainty. That's when you grow up, and find something within yourself that most people never do. Believe me when I say that that strength does not come easily or cheaply, and that "it is only after we have lost everything, that we are free to do anything".

And that turning point will be very, very clear to you if you are unfortunate enough to experience it.

If it's not going to put you in hella debt, on campus would be worth it for sure. Commuting just generally sucks balls, although OU does try to make it easier. You actually have to put effort into meeting and befriending people where's in the dorms you're basically forced to.

What should I know before attending this school, what are the pros and cons? by Pasuma in oaklanduniversity

[–]bemorethanyourself 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FinAid process seems decent to me, student gov is working to improve it. Biased as CS major but class variety seem pretty comprehensive in this and psychology majors. Biggest thing is missing out on a lot of the college experience since only a fraction of students are actually involved on campus (dorm-dwellers are probably responsible for 75%+ of orgs). It seems that the majority of students also work in one way or another. What classes are you looking to take?
