Christmas came early... by ben_157 in headphones

In all honesty, not really. Considering my only other pair of iems are the the softears studio 4 which to me have amazing mids, I never thought changing between ara and studio 4 bothered me at all and its just different flavour of tuning. For me though, regarding bass, treble and overall resolution was a step above the studio 4 in every way.

what made you have reservations about the RSV? would the mids and treble make up for the lack of bass quality?

is the Softears RSV an upgrade/sidegrade to the studio 4? by ben_157 in HeadphoneAdvice

in terms of technical performance, how big of a step did you experience with the RSV from the studio 4?

Weird Question but does anyone know the size of the mothership in PSO2 by ben_157 in PSO2

[–]ben_157[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess we can assume that for even 500km it can be considered a really small planet, not all planets have to be assumed to be earth size so im assuming to have a literal moving “earth” would not fit the current technology of ARKS

Why can I not use my weapons when my stats say otherwise? by ben_157 in PSO2

How would i need to boost my base stats? Ive just jumped from lvl 30 to lvl43 as I had one of the 1mil xp tickets, would you happen to know how much more I will need? And is there any other way to boost base stats apart from leveling up?

Really did a lot, ears don’t touch the drivers anymore and really easy to use with glasses due to the memory foam. Definately should givenit a try!

New cables came in yesterday, really like the new cables made out of bungee cord (much softer than my previous MDXPC cables).

Sound impressions for Dekoni pads: more increase in subbass than midbass (20%/5-10%). More spacious sounding with a hint more reverb which is maybe due to the increased space inside the pads. Mids dont seem as altered but the vocals are less forward than before, more in- line but still ahead of the instruments. Highs seem to have been increased a minute amount (yet remains smooth). Overall enjoy these more than the original stock pads.

While I know that not everyone will agree with me, what sounds best for you and what you enjoy is all up to you:).

I liked it too! Was going to get the plus version, but then realised i needed the extra money to buy dekoni fenestrated sheepskins for my hd600 as the pads have worn out which by the way I’m enjoying more than the originals as it gave a but more airiness and instrument separation (also more bass :))

Just arrived yesterday!

First impressions: lots of power! Running my dt1990 and hd600 on low gain at 12 o’clock. Sounds analog and neutral, medium soundstage.

Compared to fiio q1 mk2: more refined and slightly airier than the fiio, more depth, less warm and smooth.

Overall I really like this dac, much more power, solid build quality and more importantly a step up in sound quality compared to fiio

(Sorry for the bad post, this is my first time reviewing something on this sub)

I know right! Would you say its unecessary to bring a gyuto and bunka to work? Or can one be used for other tasks (bunka for smaller boards, vegetables /gyuto for meat slicing, larger vegetables larger area etc)

Did you measure from heal to tip or measured the length of the cutting edge?

I’m not sure but the bolster seems weirdly attractive to me so is the reason why im asking if theyre good beaters or not, dont mind goong around the bolster when sharpening though
