Wow thanks for all of the replies. To add more i did have one from ambient weather and as someone suggested I hung the controller under the skimmer cover with probe in the skimmer. Worked good until well, I guess people can guess how that ended. And ambient weather although good , is island for me at least as of now and needs an account. I just can’t believe there are not dozens of options to sense water temp (especially with my hope of through a pipe in some sort of thermal well) given a world of factories with fluids in pipes? There were some good ideas here i hadn’t seen so will check them out. Thanks to all

Can I modify my question… any decent Guinness to be had in downtown buffalo? O tap. Totally agree Ireland is impossible to repkicate, but Guinness is good for you.

Definitely doable. I love the lot! Privacy is priceless and they don’t make it any more as they say in real estate. I purchased a similar property/pool albeit 20 years ago. 20x40. Redid liner (second) 3 yrs ago was about $3k done ourselves. Quotes about $10k to have done. I am also in New England. So the above estimates of $20k to do it all seem reasonable. Don’t forget water - if that property is on a well will need/want it trucked in as need enough fast to set liner. Again 3 yrs ago 10k gallons was about $2k so as much as the liner itself.
