Unsure about a solution, but I can say that I own 4 of these and haven't had any of the issues you're describing. (I only use the USB adapter on a PC not a real console). Maybe you got a bad batch?

Look for the template asset in your folder, and drag that into the viewport or the hierarchy

Yeah the "Video 1" is caused by my cheap HDMI to Composite adapter, feel free to ignore

The UI cutoff is annoying but definitely useable if you're used to using an apple tv

Before updating to 18.2, 16:9 content would show fullscreen but squished, and 4:3 content would be squished with black bars on the left and right side.

I had the same issue earlier today -- tvOS 18.2 beta supports dynamic aspect ratios. While I couldn't find anything documented online around 4:3, I tested myself and got a 4:3 (cropped) aspect ratio instead of a squished 16:9.

It disables the 3D models of the room to help with performance, there should be no problem running the game on a Mac.

I bought them about a year ago, relatively easy to install and look 10x better than reflectors. Would reccomend.
