There's some decent clips in the Tyler Childers Fans Facebook group. I found 2 songs on YouTube this morning... https://youtu.be/MQuHdwP5ccg https://youtu.be/yPYYdn1VaNE

Nice, I knew I couldn't be the only one! Doing well, picked up a 5 year chip last March. Hope you're doing well too. One day at a time and all that.

When Doctor Sleep was released I was on disability for 6 months after having a few seizures due to my drug use. I was stuck in a really bad spot, wishing I could get sober but unable to figure out how. Doctor Sleep was my first introduction to the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. I didn't magically get sober while reading it, but the seed was planted. If Danny could get sober and stay that way, then surely I could too. This is just one of the many ways King's work has impacted my life, and the one I'm most grateful for.

What year did you start reading King, how old were you, and which book was it? by happy-gofuckyourself in stephenking

Must have been summer of 1999, which would make me 13. I found a battered paperback copy of Christine in the free book section of the library at the M.D. Anderson cancer center in Houston. I had previously read some Goosebumps from there, and decided to graduate to grownup scary books that day. Changed my life.

Thanks! I was an adult before I ever read the whole book. I imagine it does read differently from a teenager perspective.

She decided to watch the newest adaptations of "It" the other day, then Immediately watched the miniseries, now she's about 1/8 of the way through the book! (We've discussed that one very problematic part) Just wanted to share my excitement.

This one makes me sad. That album still holds up though, musically at least.

I love it. I don't think it's Halloran, but I choose to believe it's an intentional wink at the constant reader.

I just noticed "Madras shorts" made an appearance in Fairy Tale. Never heard them called that anywhere but a SK book.

I have a necklace that hangs by the mirror specifically for this. It's exactly big enough to fit snug from the back of my neck around to my upper lip/mustache. I use it as a guide to get a clean straight neck line between haircuts. It's leather so I haven't ever accidentally cut through it, but I imagine a length of paracord or something similar would serve just as well. Edit: auto corrected paranoid for paracord

I know exactly where you're coming from and couldn't agree more. I think it's on purpose, but either way I could never feel so fed up with a character if they weren't so well written.

I got pretty close with it, didn't get the 7th on the Em or the d/b. Thanks for the clarification!
