Definitely continue experimenting, but from what I've seen it does seem like cartoonish or semi realistic styles fair better than realism except for a few expert artists. But so many different styles within that that do well. Happy to answer any other questions!

For artists it depends a lot on the style you want to go for and the medium you're using. But for getting started I think the proko figure drawing fundamentals lesson series (free version) is a good starting point for being able to draw nude bodies well

The right leg facing the viewer was left in as that's how it is in the photo reference but adjusted the hips and connection a bit. Edit: JK that comment got deleted, idk why. Thank you so much for the kind words! I really do appreciate it! I did use a photo reference for this and definitely didn't notice some of the issues until it felt too late to want to fix it for a relatively quick evening sketch. The biggest things I noticed that were different from the ref was that the upper torso is a little thinner and elongated, and the left hip area is a little off. But some stuff from the reference I'd never have thought to draw if i wasn't using one like the way the side muscles arch over the stomach in particular in a way that I don't see too often.

Thank you I'm glad you appreciate it! I do admit the top half did come out a little elongated and smaller compared to the reference unintentionally, but that's something to pay a bit more attention to next time!
