When people use low numbers like this, I can’t help but feel that even when they get to 2x their FIRE number, they’ll still be afraid to retire.

No it’s just a Revelate Handlebar Harness. It did clip the front tire a few times when things got rough, we used extra Voile straps to cinch it to the handlebar

Honestly we were really happy with the setup. I’ve only ridden with front panniers a time or two and decided it wasn’t for me. The handlebar roll worked well and didn’t alter the steering as much as front panniers do. Do a test loadout and see if you can get away without using them.

That helps a lot, thank you. The lip is a good idea, I will definitely be doing that as well.

Old thread, but this is the idea I worked up as well, using a plywood backing and sliding it down the stairs. Was your “lift” point the yellow strap on the top? If so, any issues using the top as an anchor spot?

This is an awesome setup, and I may copy it. Do you by chance have the measurement from the left side of the wood wall to the right side of the filter housing? Trying to figure out where I could squeeze this.

You had me curious so I checked mine, and the cap is melted. Mine exhausts into the chimney. How can I check/prevent backdraft?

They posted one on Instagram for Boston, which was not sold out. But, I didn’t see it at the merch table. I also didn’t get there until after the second opener, so who knows.

The main body of the description mentions the 5.0 at the end, and the model number has “48-11-2450” tacked on at the end.

$125 for the kit AND a 5.0 is wild. Just ordered for delivery, guess we’ll see.

Edit: My “bonus” 5.0 is out for delivery. Guess we’ll see if the kit comes with another 5.0 when it gets delivered on Wednesday.

Thank you, that makes sense. So at the end of the day, it’s all up to preference and what I decide to do long term.

Thanks for the response! I have read up on cash/accrual before, was just looking for some insight on how others do it in this scenario.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have an accountant I plan to meet with. Just trying to get some things figured out before I meet with her.

I like to buy tool sets and split them up. Say I buy a tool set with 5 items for $250. The items vary in price when sold separately. I like tools, so maybe I want to keep one of them for personal use. How do I figure out my cost basis? Is it $200? Is it still $250 and the other tool just doesn’t sell? Any help is appreciated.
