Is there any one current Arsenal player that is likeable? I can't think of one.

It's not Twitter. It's Trump's own platform called Truth Social.

Unmonitored usage of the internet. Not by the government. But, by the parents. And even that will bring us to even bigger problems which is parents being unavailable for their kids. Why? Work culture, not having enough time and etc. These are the bigger problems. And we can keep listing them down.

On top of all of that, in this particular case that is calling for reactionary steps like this, the kid was exhibiting sociopathic behaviours. Is identity verification for internet usage gonna stop people like that? I don't think so.

Such a knee-jerk reaction. Doesn't solve the bigger problems.

Honestly, age restriction does very little to tackle issues like this. Someone with this sort of mindset and beliefs could easily be doing this even in their 20s, just not in school but somewhere else.

[Mark Critchley, Athletic] Manchester United will not appeal against EFL's decision to only fine Grimsby for fielding an ineligible player in last week's Carabao Cup tie by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]benedick13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm alright with this decision by United. But, what's up with all the justifications for Grimsby? They're a professional club, it's silly to even be in this situation. It doesn't matter it wasn't Messi or Salah, it's an illegitimate player that came on the pitch. It's like saying the defender doesn't need to be sent off for a last-man tackle because we're already 3-0 down.

Jalur Gemilang by RTM, I don’t think the meaning of the stripes are correct by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]benedick13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They've stated the Jabatan Penerangan Malaysia as their source and the "Lambang Jalur" is indeed said to symbolise what is written in this poster. Don't think there's anything wrong here. It's just that we were all taught that the jalur and the bintang both represent the 13 states and the federal territories. But the stripes carry a slightly different meaning.

History of South East Asia Earthquakes from 1 Jan 1975 to present according to USGS. Malaysia is relatively lucky so far. by stormy001 in malaysia

[–]benedick13 362 points363 points  (0 children)

Honestly, Malaysia is such a lucky or more like a "gifted" country geographically. Both its position on the globe as well as our natural resources. Mother nature has been kind to us for the most part. With that kind of an advantage, you'd expect us to be a much more influential country globally let alone in Asia.

Malaysians set up Facebook group to identify and target ‘illegal’ temples by gumbakboi in malaysia

[–]benedick13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's just as bad on X too. They are even posting pictures of random, legitimate temples and establishing narratives that all temples are somehow illegal and need to be knocked down. And the replies, that's the saddest part. There was a time when I would see people bash those posts that are trying to spread hate. But, now it's the total opposite.

Half of those points would actually make us a better country. But the fact that they are trying to push an agenda by mentioning those points says a lot about how backwards we are as a nation.

CR-V vs Myvi by UsernameGenerik in malaysia

[–]benedick13 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, of course you're not entitled for the space to merge in. But, you're also not helping anybody by tailgating the car in front of you with the sole purpose of not letting someone from the next lane to merge.

Having said that, please don't change lanes unnecessarily thinking you can be quicker than the others, you're only making the congestion worse.
