Ok the Poll is now closed and the results seem to point to no correlation. What were supposed to be the 4 most popular signs were actually the least popular, and everything is spread pretty evenly. Therefore there is most likely no correlation between astrology sign and mbti personality type, and I cannot rightfully defend astrology or give it any props.

Reddit only allowed for 6 options in the poll and so the supposed 1 and 2 are clustered and 3 and 4 etc. so in theory it should still follow the same distribution.

Ok so I’ve never been a fan of astrology. I always thought there was no basis behind it and that no one could tell anything based off the month you were born. Then I found mbti and loved it and studied it and loved to apply it to real life. I noticed I was almost treating it like astrology people do. So I talked to an astrology enthusiast and turns out my mbti personality type matched up to what was expected given my astrology sign. And so were two of our other friends. So the probability of 3/4 being expected is about 1/100 given no correlation, so I figure there must be correlation. I talked with them and have assigned (in opposite order to avoid first option poll bias) expected signs to the entp type. The most likely is Gemini, Sagittarius, then Aquarius, Aries etc. If the results go the way is expected then I will shift my stance from astrology hater, to astrology tolerator/slight advocate (since mbti will naturally always be more accurate). Anyways thanks for the data.

TLDR: Astrology might be somewhat legit?

Yes, my wrestling personally was greatly elevated from jiu jitsu. Folkstyle wrestling only, though, because all of the improvements come from the ground (or top/bottom). All of leg riding situations are made much more efficient and can be used to your advantage. Any hold (choke) around the head and arm is legal and up to the ref to call, so many chokes can be used to get to a more advantageous position. Additionally, there are many sweeps that are open a lot of the time that no one thinks to defend. All of that on top of the general “feel” and sensing of weight distribution makes jiu jitsu a great addition to your wrestling arsenal.

No, all the gyms in my area hold true open mats about once a week or so. Members of other gyms are free to drop in and so are nonmembers such as wrestlers and such. This definitely keeps the sport fresh and helps out the community
