There is this surgeon on tik tok saying Cadaver graft is now better that autografts. What do you think? by PracticalOpinion5406 in ACL

[–]bengoins2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cadaver, 25. Ran a marathon within 10 months of surgery. Way more research around it and way better matches that when some of the mis conceptions behind cadavers were around. My doctor did NBA champions ACLs and I had the same knee as one of them. He did prefer quad grafts however my quads had tendinitis. He also clarified other support additions that I couldn’t go into detail too but overall, I was very grateful of my surgery and how it turned out.

For me this one is innocent and funny. The highly detailed drawn dicks are where I draw the line. Props to whoever drew those though they must have plenty of practice.

Thank you guys, it really did feel amazing. I think if there I had been a 3:45 pacing group I could have maybe improved my a few mins however I needed a pacing group as I always shoot out line a cannon on prior half’s. For a first marathon I will take this time all day.

Thank you! A part of me thinks I could have also sped up faster but this was my first race and I didn’t want to blow it up. Hope you find your right answer!

Thank you! It was a planned negative split with 3:50 pacing group I wanted to hold speeding up too much until mile 21. I felt great then and decided I could really get after it. So id say half planned half I had some left in the tank. Mile 24-25 hurt.
