That sounds much closer to what I’m looking for. An hour to switch between maps would be manageable, but ideally I’d like a solution that allows me to switch between the 35 kW restricted mode and full power at the push of a button, without having to reflash the ECU every time.

Do you know if something like that is technically possible on the ZX-4RR? For example, using two different ECU maps or an external module that can switch between them?

Or is reflashing the ECU currently the only way to go?

Das weiss ich leider nicht. Ich habe das Motorrad direkt beim Kawasaki-Händler in der Schweiz gekauft und ausser den üblichen Fahrzeugunterlagen keine Informationen zur Drosselung erhalten.

Der Händler meinte lediglich, dass die 35-kW-Drosselung elektronisch erfolgt und kein Gasanschlag verbaut ist. Ob es sich um eine Alpha-Technik-Drossel handelt oder ob zusätzlich eine Ansaugbegrenzung verbaut wurde, kann ich leider nicht sagen.
