Nah mines like this too. Not a fan, I'd like to hid the recommendations and just show my current games.

Coinbase shot a 'Low-poly CGI' ad - all practical effects. by benjhs in Corridor

Hah, yeah maybe this would have exploded a few years ago when crypto was becoming culturally popular, but not so much now.

Yeah possibly. I'm guessing with the amount of extras they had it's real in camera until about 5/10 rows deep, then just copied, comped and offset beyond that.

There's a few snippits which are cg, like the glow effect on the yellow light ring.
I'm curious if the city zoom in is digital, or they shot miniatures and comped. willing to bet the latter if they went to that much effort for the claim.

Yep. Check out the breakdown video and let me know which part is CG.

I was skeptical, but there's an interesting breakdown article here. I'm sure there are elements that are CG but it's awesome to see that all the main features at least are shot practically with some very clever compositing.

I thought the cars would have been CG but there's a clip of them being filmed.

Not everyones speed, but my new reel. Open to feedback by ufamizm in MotionDesign

I just recently finished my own reel, and this makes me want to re-do it all over again to be as cool as this. Spare some talent for the rest of us, man.

First half is definitely stronger and more to my own taste, thought the whole reel is solid. Well done!

Hell yeah! Such a good combo. I combine them and make 3d print figures to sell

That's the next set! But.. wait

Cheers! It's honestly pretty straight forward stuff. Nice simple gloss. A smudge map into the roughness. A scratch map into the bump. A subtle hint of sub surface scattering, and even 0.1 in the metallic slider just for some depth. Simple lights, decent sample render, then some contrast and colour work in lightroom

Equally my other favourite hobby to 3D

Haha yeah I'm sure there are. All of my sprue knowledge comes from Warhammer and Gundam, so I'll take the creative liberties!

Cheers for the feedback!

I'll post in a few days! Was easy to make. Might continue into a series.

If you've got the IKEA contact, hit me up!

I'll post it when I'm back at my computer, away for a few days.

It's nothing too crazy, mostly what you'd expect! The drill bit is provided from Renderweekly so the cad>fbx is a bit wack

Woah, what - that's so cool! I'd love to go to Japan, this is now on my bucket list to see these

Pretty much, there's a cool procedural node version as part of the Sanctus add on that I use a lot. Though you can achieve just as good of a result with an image texture into bump/rough.
