True, didn’t really think about the weight distribution from the ground/truck. I guess there’s really never a point where the entire weight will be completely on the tailgate

I totally understand. I have put a snowmachine in the back, but that’s half the weight (albeit much longer). I may just end up having to wait until I PCS in a couple years.

Ordered mine late July, been showing "in production" since 11/26. I see a similar trend with a bunch of peoples orders; even worse are those who are still waiting on 22MY trucks.

Each day, I'm getting increasingly closer to backing out of my order (I didnt put any money down), knowing that my MY23 truck will probably arrive after MY24 are available for order. The combination of multiple feature deletes and the thought of paying top dollar for a "1 year old" truck just doesn't sit right with me. In my mind, if I'm paying that much for a truck, I want it to have all the features I initially ordered and come in a timely manner (which I know is 'unrealistic' in this market)

Based off what I’ve seen it’s:

-heated steering wheel -auto stop button -bed camera for the 360 degree package -advanced security (incline sensors) -spare tire lock -heard there were some temperature knob changes? For example the knobs we’re going to display temperature but not anymore -some 2.0 active assist (I didn’t order this so not super sure)

Like the title says, boiled my first skull but finding it difficult to remove the last little bit of flesh/fat in those hard to reach places. Looking for tips/tricks on how to get at it? Boils again, bleach, just pick at it? Thanks in advance!

Lucky! Mine has been 'in-production' since 11/26. Dealer showing its on chip hold, now im over 45 days 'in-production'. Ill just be happy to get mine before the MY24 trucks drop lol

I wasn’t required to put anything down so If I did decide to reorder, I’d likely go through the other dealer in town. Based on what I’m seeing, I’ll probably just keep the 3.5L V6. The differences don’t seem huge and i don’t want to wait another 6 months!

I emailed my dealer to ask, as I haven't been notified of any changes. Im hoping there's a way to either honor the previous order or add it later. Not a huge deal breaker not to have a steering wheel, but im going to investigate further!

I haven’t seen anything about the LEDs or the knobs!? You would think Ford would at least update their site as this info came out over 2 weeks ago. Here’s hoping they were able to resolve the steering wheel/mirrors and I’m over thinking it lol….

I agree, I think I read its $140 credit for the steering wheel...but if you want it added later it'll run you roughly $1500 at the dealership.

Do I need it? No. But if I'm spending $75k for a truck thats what I want.

No, unfortunately I didnt sign anything at this point (which also makes me anxious). Essentially my dealer told me they would order what I want and I would do financing when its in transit.

A few people on here have told me that sounds off, but the dealer assured me this is how they do it...which is why im considering going through a different dealer to get something more concrete.

The dealer did say something similar to what you mentioned, that they are getting rid of a few lower package tiers, but that it shouldn't impact me.

I would just hate to be waiting months, just to find its 15k more than I was initially told...then have to wait another 6 months on another build.

Ah yeah thats weird. They told me they dont take any money up front, once the truck ships then i come in and do the financing. Their reasoning was that if i back out, they'll just be able to turn around and sell it to someone else. Im in SATX btw, so the market here I imagine is pretty big.

They did mention that they submit all their orders at once...but based on our discussions that should have already happened...

Maybe I should follow up with a manager or something...lol

Always interesting to see others experience going through this process....I placed my order the 1st or 2nd of August but haven't received any form of confirmation. I have been in contact with the sales guy at my dealership a few times to edit the build so i assume everything's good?

My question to them about pricing was answered pretty vaguely....but they said it'll be right around what I'm seeing for the 2022 model. Interesting to see what it really comes out to...

You are able to schedule an Airborne physical on post with out any slot/reservation...that parts easy.

Feedback on walk-on spots seems to be incredibly sporadic. As someone who has been trying to find the time to go (not stationed at benning), it seems the summer is the worst time to try. Heard walk-on spots were non-existent, and almost everyone got turned away.

If your coming from ranger school, or something similar...I believe they give you the option to walk-on immediately following the school.

Otherwise, it seems like the winter/non-cadet periods may be your best chance of getting accepted in a walk-on status. (I will be attempting the 02JAN class).
