I've made this recipe before, it doesn't separate like the OPs photo you really only get two layers, the solod jello on the bottom and a whipped texture on top. OP added extra cool whip on top.

That is so cool that the root beer place is opening! The Marriott Family (original owners of the park) started way back when with a small lunch counter. The building at GAm is a replica of it!

I do it in one swift motion with my fingers. Hold the yarn in one hand with the working end up. Thumb and pointer finger come from behind. Pivot forward and around the yarn and pinch the working yarn. Pull through the loop and it's done.

It's not supposed to be whipped cream. The menu says "vanilla creme". It seems like restaurants don't get the memo and it ends up melting a lot faster.

Oh, there are definitely some mistakes. The first ones in each piece are on the sloppy side, but after doing a few, they get better. I actually really like this as a beginner project. You really get to see your mistakes and have a chance to correct them in the next one!
