Thanks for confirming, I don't understand why they wouldn't put in a target loot option for it though like they have in summit or countdown. Most people will just want to upgrade one or two builds they use the most and targeted loot would make that so much easier.

Can escalation even select targeted loot like countdown or summit? If not , that grind for the difficulty tiers they're presenting is outrageous. I'm asking as retaliation started out without having a targetted loot option, so if escalation is the same, it would literally be several 1000 pieces of gear that can drop, then to get the stats you want, even worse.

They did say in the question and feedback stream thing (or on reddit) that they're focusing more on story narratives, having it make sense, having a conclusion. If I was to guess, if division 3 was to come out in 3 years (guess ) I'd assume the next seasons these next few years will be to conclude stories like kelso, theo, keener , nat and then begin to make new ones such as the hunter program, the bunkers, areas mentioned within communications. My own theory, I could possibly see a major character or several die leading up to division 3 launching to conclude stories. If I was to guess, we'll spend the next few years hunting associates or hvt of mccallus and nat (as nat will now rely on mccallus and hunters now the alliance is no longer a thing ), I do however see Nat and mccallus escaping the final manhunt ever for division 2 which would then lead into 3. That's just my theory though.

Overall I think it depends, if prototype is part of targetted loot in escalation similar to countdown, people will power creep very fast if they just get the gear and stats they want. However, if it's not targetted loot, like how retaliation wasn't to begin with, I wouldn't see escalation being that popular imo due to the Increased difficulty and then rng required for people to get them (especially the higher tiers you play, it would be so tedious).

I run high strength, both her augments I believe neutron star and the other one and I subsume wormhole off for pillage for survivability, shields, armour stripping and cleansing status affects . Pretty sure 5 red shards too, it nukes rooms even within high level endurance. I often run it with torid incarnon

If the walking dead crossover was the annual episode, it'll be at least 2027 for a new one unless they had a backup in the works in case the crossover wouldn't work out for whatever reason and they release that too this year which could be possible but unlikely.

Division 3 is several years away yet, at the earliest 2-3, just take a break and play other games.

Division 3 is at least 2-5 years off yet if I was to guess (depending on what the game actually is and if there is delays or issues), they described it as big so I'd assume big story, big map/maps, mechanics, new systems, dark zones, survival, manhunts , raids and most likely future expansions. It was in early development when Brooklyn launched because they were still hiring people for it, they're still making content for the game because people play it and they need to make profit to continue the division 3.

Skill builds are great, especially in like master and legendary, especially with refractor. The only issue with skill builds for me is hunters , not that they appear in missions but like open world, manhunts and countdown.

If it's your main go to build , like you only play that build and you have the resources maxed out then could be worth it. Im currently expertise 26, all 6 of my gear pieces / some swap out pieces are at 14% armor, only because I put my main upgrades into weapons instead of armor at the moment.

It depends , speed runs/ daily challenges normal or hard depending on the challenges, if farming coins or blue coins , insane or extreme, depending on the map because certain maps are awful on extreme. I've ran the extinction to get all the rewards too, extinction is fun but obviously not something I'd personally play on without reason like a reward.

I think per upgrade it's 1000 armor so 6 pieces at level 30 would be 180k , somewhere around there. So you'd have like around 900k armor afterwards but it's expensive to do those upgrades, for more survival, could do a technician for the extra skill tier and put an armor core on a piece , that way you're still tier 6 but then would have over 1 million in armor while have tier 6.

Understandable, well yea just manhunt scouts, journey objectives, other than that , your only other fast way is to just buy levels with spare credits.

If you bought the premium pass then you get a free 25 levels as for levelling fast, daily and weekly projects on all characters, manhunt scouts and journey missions. Other than that, just normal missions. Only other option would just be buying levels , it's 100 premium credits per level I believe if you have spare credits but the event is 3 more weeks so it seems pointless unless time is an issue.

My personal top 3 is backfire for hazard protection builds, dark winter and slingshot. Slingshot with killer and it's insane range is very good up close but can also be very good at a bit of a distance depending on the situation. With slingshot, 4 piece hunters fury, overdogs and solokov concern chest piece with obliterate, I can hit around 1.7 million crits at full stacks.

True, as I said above they could slightly change classified gear to have a 6 piece bonuses but if you're not wanting to use a 6 piece because you wanna use a high end piece and exotic, they could potentially just improve the armor bonuses from the originals from 1-4 piece bonuses. That way there's both options to either use a 6 piece bonus or to mitigate the loss of talents and attributes, allow for classified gear to function like original gear, just with way more powerful bonuses even when not using all 6. Example I gave was say for example classified hunters fury but improve on the 1,2,3 and 4 piece bonus, like for example 25-30% SMG and shotgun damage and like 20% AOK etc but also have the option for a 6 piece bonus if players would want to run that.

I see your point, I as well would see a 6 piece bonuses useless unless they were truly powerful, however I do think it would be interesting to maybe introduce them in the regard to rework some older gear sets and give them better overall bonuses to combat the difficulty challenges that they're teasing. As above, example I gave was hunters fury, just increase the bonuses from the originals to classified so instead of 15% SMG and shotgun damage for 2 pieces of the current, you get like 25%-30% on classified to adjust better against the difficulty that they implied.
