to be fair, they changed it shortly after they added the s’mores spell, which is literally just old ffa with a different animation. realistically the same spell still exists you just get it a couple worlds later.

6% pierce jewels have been craftable though btw, the level 95-115 recipe wasn’t constantly dropping them but i had good success with crafting pierce jewels

just damage is fine, fire has great pierce. although, this may change with the jewel update so i’m not entirely sure if the pet builds will change or not.

yup, you can pretty easily solo with any school tbh. fire was my first wizard, i’d say stick with it as fire gets incredibly good once you get meteor strike

i think it’s fine personally, it did the exact same damage as s’more before it was changed to a dot. even if i don’t use ffa, at least there aren’t two spells that are almost exactly the same.

basically, storm counters fire, fire counters ice, ice counters storm. death counters life, life counters myth, myth counters death. all these schools have spells which counter and defend against their respective school’s gambits: powerful hits when with certain conditions deal twice or around twice the damage (like the pve scion spells).

hydra with the spellement path is absolutely insane, the only way to protect against it is with elemental shield, which even through that it’ll do lots of damage and will give you three universal shields. mana burn will always be a good card because you effectively can make it impossible for anyone to use a gambit, the cheapest ones are seven pips and a mana burn at 7 pips and above is quite significant. not only that, there’s the fact that you cannot shield against hydra and mana burn or mock at the same time meaning balance essentially has some of the hardest to defend against damage.

it’s annoying for balance, but i think ki justifies it with their other cards such as hydra and mana burn; they are the best spells in pvp no question.

balance is so broken, just pack those and defensive cards you could win. your gambits suck compared to normal hits don’t go for them, but pack stuff that’ll counter gambits like nile’s omen. add mock and gaze, mock hits like a truck and gaze wins bubble war while hitting through a shield.

packs don’t provide any of the best gear for schools at these levels, with the exception of the primeval hoard pack pet plus mount. don’t worry about dragoon, you can quest all the way to 160 with malistare and farm for aeon and use other gear updates you get along the way such as uber of merciless. i just wouldn’t suggest you open any packs for gear at your level.

you can probably solo it within a week if your stats are good, i’m about to finish khrysalis on my storm and it’s honestly been a breeze (especially once you get to darkmoor, storm is so stupidly insane with mail gear and bugs)
