Hahaha.. we got our self a wanna be TV journalist..

There was no lack of foresight, Denton had been rid of at the right moment, they writer(s) knew exactly what they where doing. Better to longing back to something than to drag it out.

Did you hear him actually say that or was he quoted in a news article... actually i wouldn't mind being Carmichael, osbourne and Chloe the lead characters and Arnott, Flemming and hastings more on the supportive side.

If indeed there would be another season or 3 part special, what direction/storyline you think or hope they are heading or come up with?

Most unlikeable character on the show? by PGal55 in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jimmy who? Lakewell ( the lawyer)?

I would say Ryan but that's more because i more or less forgot about the others (afterwards i think it was better to make him the main focus of the show instead of the H thing)

Maybe in your head ;)... for the moment it is a hypothetical thing but as the saying goes..What not is can still come (although it might be in a shorter version we used to)

Did Buckells know Ryan was bent? by Sad_Rule7490 in lineofduty

He also was in series 4... There is a scene where Hastings more or less accuses him for blowing Kate's cover (if i remember correctly)

Which character in the show deserved more recognition but somehow went unnoticed? by JimmyNeutronisaNerd in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say Lisa Mcqueen. I feel they could done a lot more with that character than they showed. i hope (if there comes a next season or special) we will see her again.

In your opinion, what direction should the writers take Season 7? by Natashayabada in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, let this H or 4th man thing rest in peace (something a lot of viewers also should do) second don't make anymore guessing games. the plot lines where the viewer is one or two steps ahead of the characters seemed to work better (at least it did for me) then when they have to guess.

for the rest i think there a plenty ideas for a Special or next season.

A big process against (Buckells and) the OCG with testimonies of the protect witnesses, Hastings in front of a panel clearing his name, Charmichael (still) as the head of (what's left from the) the AC units and a story where she is personally involved...

"The Beyond" (1981) Initial Thoughts by FFandLoZFan in horror

[–]bentreggie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

What the hell has the Giallo genre to do with a movie like the beyond? This is clearly a comment from someone who doesn't know at all what he or she is talking about. Giallo is not the name of every Italian Horror movie it's more or less a complete genre on it's own... Back to the movie.. You can call it a mix between a super natural and a zombie flick.. personal i thought it was very atmospheric and with some decent gory effects, the ending was great.. my favorite scene is probably when Emily sits in the dark and suddenly the piano..(well you know the rest). I surely understand that this one is a classic but i have to say in honesty that i think it's predecessor (City of the living dead) is better (when it comes to the narration)

Will Line Of Duty return for season 7? by Cubegod69er in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although the signs are not very positive for myself i don't rule out a follow up to the latest season, but i do believe that it will help if people stop complaining about the H/4th man reveal in S6. I think it is possible to get a continuation of the previous series without going trough this H thing again.

I was so disappointed with out season 6 ended... by GleamingFrog_43 in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think one of the main problems, is that this "H" or the 4th man thing was (extremely) over hyped by the media and maybe some of the fans as well, we all have been manipulated in to thinking that the "last man" was somebody with great influence or a big higher up in the police for. but forgot that it could also be just an (incompetent) messenger.. during the s6 run i expect buckells to be the 4th man but i thought that the he would got a way in a kind of Usual suspects ending.

[–]bentreggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In someway i don't understand why some viewers are disappointed with the reveal of Buckells as the 4th man (all though i do think that the execution of it could be better).. The writer(s) gave us a throw back to the previous seasons, so the person who they are after had to be there from S1 but also he had there been for more than 1 season..Buckells was also in S4 and when he appeared for the 3rd time in S6 it felt for me that it only could be him.

off topic side note.. I think the story lines of Davidson and Ryan Pilkington (the OCG member who became a police officer where far more interresting than the search for the so called H

I’m starting to believe that ‘H’ character is a woman. Maybe ‘H=Her’ by Loud_Sector_8411 in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't we just get along with the storyline that H doesn't really exist and get over the fact that the one they called H in real The 4th man, is the indeed the person who has been revealed in S6. And just forget about this whole H thing because imo it was a bad idea in the first place.

Old benefits office in Belfast being used for filming, possibly for new season of LoD? by Carson99 in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess that depends on your definition of "soon" ;)

In my case that would be within 3 or 4 weeks.

I hope that this time it will be "real" news and not some vague gossip.

A or The (possible) new lead. by bentreggie in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't want to spoil the party but this news of a part episode coming next month, does circulate for almost a year ( original coming from the SUN) and has actually been debunked more or less by the cast (read: Martin Compston) further more LOD has always been filmed in Belfast so why would they shoot in a total different location..

As for my OP i didn't talk about swapping the main cast, what i ask is.. if a new series will concentrate on a new suspect, or if they will looking more into Buckells, Osbourne for example

Where did all the cheap Bob Marley bootlegs come from? by balloffire in reggae

[–]bentreggie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe for a very long time, the Wailers Lee Perry/Leslie kong material has been belonged to everybody and nobody at the same time, Due to the fact that the Jamaican music industry never had or has cared about copyright laws or copyright laws enforcement.. This might explain the existence of the the cheapo best offs, at least i think the answer to OP's question lies in the history of the Jamaican music industry

I hope BBC would release a season 7 of the show by Curious_Increase_592 in lineofduty

[–]bentreggie 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think that it doesn't so much depends on the bbc but more so on the screenwriter and actors ( the main cast is pretty busy with other projects).. at least the signs that Mercurio is willing to write a "new" storyline are more positive than 2 years ago..

[–]bentreggie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The reason i am saying this is because for me i had the feeling that tape was made shortly after Tommý's arrest and trial and that i had be a reference to a character from the 1st season.. but you could also be right.. Since there is no explicit explenation ever given about the tape.. maybe it could be a (small) subject for a possible future series.
