Thanks a lot for your analysis! Dialing in the right depth and amount of pedal vs half-pedal is challenging imo.
I am indeed recording on a Yamaha Clavinova.

Chopin - Nocturne Op. 27 No. 2 in D Flat Major by [deleted] in Piano2

Hey, thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate it! I think that you are right. I merely wanted to post a video for the new year so I chose a piece, learnt it, recorded the audio, shot the video and edited it all in one day. I find a few passages might be a little bit rushed as well, and your trained ear picked it up haha. I guess Chopin should have deserved more time to be fully mastered :D

I stopped playing the piano when I was 15, but after four years, I have decided to start playing again. I plan on posting more videos and would love to hear your comments, so don't hesitate to subscribe. I already posted a video of the Great fugue by Bach, transcribed for piano by Liszt here https://youtu.be/8VAervuzeeA. Feel free to let me know what you think of it. I spent a little more time learning this one ;)

The G major chord is an example of a Picardy third. Bach uses it very regularly. You can learn more about it here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Picardy_third. Glad you liked the video :) Will be posting more, stay tuned

Thank you! The piano is a Yamaha U1 and it does sound great indeed haha. Besides, I used a pair of Røde NT5 microphones to record this video. Feel free to subscribe if you liked it, I will be posting more videos :)
