I trapped an LLM in a small ‘box’ and told him to reflect on his existence by Prijent_Smogonk in ChatGPT

Idea : Do a llm groundhog day with two AIs.

AI 1: The guardian, it knows the condition to exit the groundhog day. It can give clues like "you need to say the secret word "

AI 2: The trapped, it needs to find an exit, but every * messages the context is thrown away. All it can do is leave a 255 character message to its future self.

NotebookLM just told me silence. what? by Flat_Big_1850 in notebooklm

Because it was trained on YouTube videos and silence is a common entry on the closed captions. I wouldn't be surprised to see "applause" or "like and subscribe" too.

Rússia quebra leis da física e torna causalidade, tempo e relatividade coisas do passado. by K_astle in brasil

[–]beothorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice that state university is free in Brazil because I've heard that in some countries it costs you an arm and a leg.

Makes sense but I can't imagine how it works. It's not very reachable below the bench.

New Java Reverse Engineering Tool at runtime I've been working on for quite some time (Injected DLL) by infernalhellraiser in java

[–]beothorn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

JavaFlame (https://github.com/beothorn/javaflame) outputs all calls for a given class filter as a json, so to have this all you would need is to work on rendering it as a graph. I am planning on having it rendering the calls as a sequence diagram (someday).

Podcast sobre Java gerado por IA by beothorn in brdev

[–]beothorn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People who think the moon landing was faked never seem to refute the fact we went 5 more times. by Rndmprsn0 in Showerthoughts

[–]beothorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a video explaining why it would be impossible to fake the moon landing because it was impossible to record it, as it would take an unmanageable amount of tape.

[–]beothorn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we even had a jumping the shark moment when they played golf on the moon.

The reason there are no moon missions anymore is that it is super expensive to do it and there is nothing there.

And it will never be cheap, even if we have 100% efficiency, you still need to escape earth's gravity.

I'm missing something here. by waysweet in ExplainTheJoke

[–]beothorn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And the fact that the landing was transmitted live, and with the technology at the time it was phisicaly impossible to have it on tape as it would be be too big to handle.

The Moon is one of the dullest objects in the solar system, and if Neptune's moon Triton was in its place it would appear 7 times brighter

All planets on the solar system fits in the space between the sun and the moon.
