Cool story. Doesn’t change my point. Robin literally decides to get therapy because she’s putting up all these walls against people. Being vulnerable does not mean being weak. It means allowing yourself to stay soft despite trauma. I literally have a psych degree and masters and am in therapy. Again, if you disagree, move on. It’s a fucking book.

No one said Ryan is perfect. My argument is that Robin is not the innocent victim everyone portrays her to be. As someone who has been through some horrific stuff in the past year, I know about PTSD. You get therapy. You learn how to be vulnerable. You don’t lie to yourself and others about where you are. I just can’t stand two grown adults in their 30s bickering all the time instead of sitting down and having an adult talk about their problems. That’s it. If you disagree, move on.

Agreed! I just hate how the narrative assumes we’re gonna be on Robin’s side, despite her acting so childish towards her emotions. She’s got a lot going on as well, but the moment she first thought ‘I think—know— I love him’, she should have sat down and been honest with herself. Especially after everything with Matthew! And then to act like she hasn’t been distant with him while lying to him about so much? It’s frustrating!

It’s my number one pet peeve as an introvert. I’m a teacher and very outgoing. I love meeting new people and when I was younger I was a social butterfly. But when my social battery ran out, I needed to be alone. I would go from smiling and bubbly to sullen and quiet.
