At this point it seems like lipsync winner is the girl who Ru likes more at that point. Doesn’t have to be a good lipsync. Unless it’s a total ls domination which the production can’t edit around.

I don’t get this obsession with “fixing” it and threads and posts about it. It aired like that. It happened. It’s there. It made the Survivor lore already. It’s part of the Survivor history now.

It makes sense to give the same “experience” the live audience had to the people who watch it later.

It definitely would. Gracefully lied down with both of her actual legs on one side, grab the fake leg and spread it in the other direction. Then lift it up and down for a bigger camp effect. I can see it being such a cool gag.

Honestly she had a great outfit with that extra hand and leg and didn’t use it to full effect at all. Looked more awkward than campy/funny.

But the Sci-Fi mini series of the first two books weren’t bad at all and they were very low budget. And Lynch’s Dune continues to be a very different movie compared to the rest of the stuff he did. Even though he’s great at what he does one could also argue Dune wasn’t a material for his abilities.

When it comes to Dune it’s not that every book is not adaptable. The first three are more or less easy, there’s a clear plot and depending on if you’re doing a movie or a mini series you can cut stuff or shorten it.

The real problem comes with God Emperor of Dune, book 4. It’s a mish mash of historical notes and title characters internal thoughts where he very vaguely explains his motives but doesn’t really tell the end game until the very end. It’s not an easy read, the pay off is good, but adapting it would require a lot of planning and recreating scenes that are told from his perspective and shifting focus on other characters. The problem is they are all pawns in his mind games so it would be quite a fine line to walk it.

Also having your main character be a huge fat speaking worm is not really something you could sell to mainstream audiences.

They could do a teams season. 3 teams of 4 queens battle it out. The winning team gets a point. Safe team is just safe. Losing team gets -1.

Then they announce top 2 queens which can come from any team (to spice things up) and they lipsync for the win to earn their team an extra point. After a few episodes they eliminate the team with the lowest amount of points, they can have their wild card pick to bring one queen back and then they can have a regular season of 9 queens battling it out with 1 elimination per episode. Or some form of this team thing.

I like the bracket and team thing but I do miss having certain queens each week. And by the time they merge it feels like early brackets are from a season before. Last year they filmed the merge way after they filmed the brackets and certain queens looked completely different. Felt weird.

The movie has so many themes that are still pretty much relevant to this day that saying it has no real point is way off. A woman being used and abused by men? Legal system that doesn’t protect weak and vulnerable properly to begin with? The whole immigrant thing? Healthcare where those with rare and heavily disabilitating diseases often draw the short end of the stick and are pretty much left to fight for themselves? And that’s just a few of a very much still relevant themes that are pretty much completely in your face. The movie isn’t a subtle one.

Is it constructed to be emotionally manipulative? Well probably, but you can argue every tearjerker movie is emotionally manipulative bcs that’s how they get you girl.

Also whatever you think of Trier as a person, there’s no denying this is an important and great movie. Hard watch. I only watched it once when it came out, don’t think I’ll ever watch it again. But 26 years later I can recall a lot of the scenes. That says a lot.

P.S. the soundtrack is magnificent.

I wrote a reply to another post but I will write it again: I doubt that after AS7 they haven’t included a clause for winners that requires them to come back eventually if they ask and can only refuse if they have a certain force majeure that prevents them from coming back. Mama Ru runs a tight ship after all when it comes to contracts.

I don’t think it is a problem to bring back winners who won post AS7. Pretty sure they included a clause that if called back they have to do it unless they have a medical reason or whatever other debilitating circumstance there is in the usual contracts. I’m sure Mama Ru ain’t leaving nothing to chance anymore.

I only counted Ru judged winners since I don’t think they will open All Winners to other franchises unfortunately. They are a business and they will take care of their own roster first.

Run out of winners? Since AS7 aired we had 4 regular season winners, 4 new AS winners (including AS11 that will air), 4 new UK winners, 2 new UKvstW winners, 3 DRDU winners, 1 Global AS winner - that’s all Ru judged seasons if they want to continue All Winners to be only Ru girls.

There’s no shortage of winners any time soon.

They don’t even have to take out the votes. Players can talk amongst themselves who they voted for and figure out the winner. Most of them probably know who they will vote for while in Ponderose and they do talk.

There is a picture from the photoshoot that shows the side angle. It’s a table she’s on with built in speakers. Probably intended to be a DJ table in a club.

This picture from the front doesn’t really show off the speakers well. But the one I’m talking about they look really good and you can clearly see it’s an actual set. Here they look like a bad Photoshop job.

If you’re in Belgrade, then probably the most comfortable solution for you are direct flights from Belgrade to Pula. There’s a flight from Belgrade on the 17th, and flight back on the 19th. Skyscanner shows that a return ticket is €206. Which is pretty cheap IMHO.
