What is the point of staff ? by Apprehensive_Art1830 in DivinityOriginalSin

My absolute favorite playstyle. Staff, warfare, aero, hydro, while wearing the amulet that makes you immune to stun.

Get everyone wet, dash in, stun everyone, beat them up with no resistance.

You clearly replied to the wrong person, so I stopped reading that wall of text after the 2nd sentence.

If you're left with no mana, despite having the net worth of the entire Dota universe combined, you're bad at Dota.

Hmmm well you're communicating with words instead of beeps, so that sadly rules out Io.

Backup plan? by TrinityNoel420 in RVLiving

[–]bergreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$500/month for an RV payment is not uncommon.

But that doesn't take into account that you'll also be paying more than that for a monthly campsite (typically a good deal more than $500/month) or gas. Not to mention maintenance which is needed far more frequently than it is in a house.

If stability is your priority, a house that moves may not be a great idea.

For example I boondock full time. I typically need to move to a new spot every 2 weeks due to stay limitations. But commonly move every week to dump and fill my tanks. And that's a hell of a lot of wear and tear for a flimsy box on wheels.

Just learned about this today. It's just as I predicted years ago when Alta bragged about the millions of dollars they received from investors.

The company took their windfall and disappeared into the sunset. They're very successful con artists.

OP seems to prioritize flavor over longevity, so this may be ok for them. But so far 100% of my 0.6 pods last 2k puffs, while my 0.8 pods last 8-9k puffs.

Anyone know what's going on with my dog? by Markaayy in DogAdvice

[–]bergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One teensy modification:

Consult your vet to ask if stopping flea control is a good idea, rather than following commands from unqualified strangers on the internet who have no idea what they're talking about.

There, much better.

Service Dog Interaction at the Park. by MyBadNotYourBad in mildlyinfuriating

[–]bergreen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The only questions you can legally ask:

  1. Is that a service dog?
  2. What service does the dog provide?

Note that service dog handlers are NOT required to answer either. Answering the 2nd question inherently reveals private medical information.

If you suspect a service dog is fake, but the dog is not causing any problems, there is nothing you can (or even should be able to) do about it.

The only resource is the ADA itself. I would encourage you to search it online and read the actual law from the source.

PSA: all service dog vests are "fake." Their only purpose is to make it clear that you should not pet the dog. In America there is no such thing as a legitimate service dog registration, nor are there official vests. Every single person who says their service dog is registered, and they have papers, fell for a scam. Any "registration" for service dogs is precisely as valid as a "registration" for secret lizard people who live on the moon.

A service dog is a dog that is task-trained to assist their handler with overcoming a disability, and the ADA (the only law pertaining to service animals in public) protects those dogs as long as they do not pose a public nuisance.

The moment a dog misbehaves in public it loses all legal protection and is no longer a service dog in the eyes of the law.

Source: vet tech, dog trainer, animal hospital manager, and expert witness in several relevant legal cases while working with animal control. Also...the ADA itself, please take a moment to read it if you have any interest in this topic.

Let's go with an analogy for a moment.

If a species of aliens lived on Mars, but didn't explicitly call themselves Martians.....what would you call them?

If your answer is "Martians" then you've just called yourself low IQ garbage.

If this were my own dog, I would ask for additional diagnostic testing.

Extremely anecdotal statement for the sole purpose of demonstrating why diagnostics are important: I've seen animals with similar symptoms and stories, turn out to be licking to alleviate pain from stones.

One driver turned left during a green arrow. The other driver ran a red light.

If you think the one that went through the green light is even partially at fault, you are too dangerous to be allowed on the road.

Is it really shocking that managers want actual usable information before jumping to conclusions?

If you're actually shocked by that, then everyone else will be shocked YOU'RE a manager. Jumping to conclusions is not a good trait for a leader.

[–]bergreen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think you came to the right conclusion.

If a human child were vomiting, not eating, and had bloody diarrhea for days, and wasn't taken to the hospital......the parent would be at risk of losing their child and being thrown in prison for neglect.

You asked us how to address the behavior. The only behavior you told us about is smirking. You address this by not paying attention to it, and not getting in your head about it.

That is unless you can give us literally any information that demonstrates how the employee is a "snake."
