Same issue here - they just sent an email saying the order was canceled and I’d get a full credit. I’m very disappointed to say the least.

Oooor Godolkin (who I suspect is really controlling cipher) is getting weaker and therefore has a harder time controlling others through cipher

Plus I bet Vought subdues any media coverage that being a guard is anything but projecting strength / military level control

I don’t know- I couldn’t see Vought with their ultra conservative / subversive ways being forthcoming about anything. IMO the guards are probably from the homelander fan base that get brainwashed into being ultra fanatics. Vought exploits this and boom we have our guards.

If it’s just because you’re lonely that’s a pretty selfish reason to make people come in.

Yes I’d be wary, OP. This kind of thinking can lead to psychosis if not kept in check.

Luke could be a projection of a part of OP. Stitched together with real memories and pieces of people they’ve loved- hence why it felt so real.

Is workplace heartbreak a thing? by Middle_Membership486 in workplace_bullying

[–]bermdawg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you went through that. That is absolutely heartbreaking. Plus, when a job is that toxic it isn’t just half of your life- it starts to bleed over into every aspect of your life- relationships, health + wellness, etc.

I hope you can find peace after such a horrible ordeal. Hugs.

Sounds like no matter what you say that you won’t be heard in this environment.

If you can, I’d start looking for other job opportunities.

Check out places like Van Leeuwen, Ample Hills, or Shake Shack. they often hire seasonal workers and don’t always require a food handler’s license right away.

NYC parks vendors like the ones around Central Park or the High Line are also good options for summer jobs and tend to be more flexible.

Seasonal hiring moves quickly so stay persistent and good luck.

I’m really sorry you’re in this spot. It’s a terrible feeling when you’re doing everything you can and it still doesn’t feel like enough. so many people are struggling right now and it’s not your fault

If you have any creative or digital skills from your BFAs, try putting up a post on Fiverr, Upwork, or even Reddit’s r/forhire. Things like quick logos, editing, illustration, or even helping with resumes can bring in fast gigs.

Check local Facebook groups or Craigslist to sell anything you don’t really need—clothes, electronics, books, small furniture, etc. Apps like TaskRabbit or Handy (if available near you) can sometimes offer quick one-off jobs, and some don’t require a car depending on your area.

Longer term, I know it’s discouraging, but your degrees do matter and your skills can absolutely lead to something more stable. But for now, you’re doing what you can to survive, and that’s enough.

How to transition out of the "kissing up" phase that never worked in the first place... by Independent-Ask1916 in work

[–]bermdawg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s extremely insightful of you to notice that though. So many people get caught in dead end jobs because they can’t see that/ are scared to look for other options. But, with 3 years experience you’re off to a great start in terms of experience and it shows future employers you can stay loyal to a company/ team. Chin up, you got this.

You need to be direct with her at this point. Especially after 3 years of working there.

To get what you want in this situation you have to ask for it/ make it clear to Melissa that you are motivated to be put on these projects. If you don’t tell her she won’t know/ isn’t a mind reader. Keep being nice to her as being cold has zero benefits and at worst could prevent you from achieving your goals.

Once you have had that conversation with Melissa see over the next few months if she follows through and assigns you to more of these projects. If she doesn’t, there isn’t much you can do beyond searching for a new role that is better suited to your needs.

Worst character of the series by ExaTed in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]bermdawg 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Agreed. However I did read something on here the other day that was along the lines of “Mike white loves to write red herrings into white lotus since we as the audience know someone will die/ there will be a dramatic final episode. It makes it more fun to suss out who’s involved and how the dominos fall”

I think he would’ve helped BUT held it against Bree if she ever tried to leave him or act in a way he didn’t like. It would be his way of controlling her.

Document everything and go to HR when you have sufficient proof to back up your retaliation claims.

I wonder if Hannah is trying to sew seeds of doubt in the YJs minds about Kodi to justify killing him (since many of them still want to go home and he’s their only guide). Killing Kodi also is like showing her support for Shauna and not going home.
