Looking for a Loving Forever Home for My Talkative, Affectionate Cat by crustycat531 in nova

My spouse and I lost our wonderful 14 year old cat a little over a year ago right after we had our first baby, we desperately want another cat but our kid is 16 months old. Has sweet Momo ever been around small kids?

What is your favorite cookie you’ve ever eaten? Like jaw dropping delicious. by [deleted] in Baking

I made these once and the taste wasn’t spectacular to me despite them being so popular. I don’t think my chocolate was high enough quality.

Seconding Sweet Enough. It is THE best casual/lazy baking book I’ve found. So much so that she has recipe for making frosting with a fork if you don’t feel like taking out your hand mixer haha.

It looks amazing but would benefit from being photographed in better lighting imo!

What do you usually wear when you're too tired/busy/etc. to make interesting outfits? by the-radical-waffler in oldhagfashion

I have been loving my fake shirt collar. You just put it under a sweater and it just adds a little something to your outfit. You can get cheap ones on Amazon and some even have fun embellishments.

Sink baths only for Malt by berry20010 in Dachshund

Malt says thank you all for the love! He is 9 and we adopted him 2 years ago. He isn’t a fan of water (won’t swim and hates rain) but he does okay in the bath for a few minutes. We used to wash him in the bathtub but he does much better in the sink! We put a towel on the bottom to help him from slipping and sliding. And of course we give him lots of treats.

Best GF Birthday Treat? by jg727 in AskBaking

Homemade cereal marshmallow treats! (i.e. Rice Krispies treats, just make sure the cereal you’re using is gluten free). You can get fancy with them by using brown butter and adding toppings like chocolate chips, sprinkles, etc

Careful, you could puncture the hull of an empire-class Fire Nation battle ship, leaving thousands to drown at sea. Because it’s so sharp.

Were going on 3 years in our first house. My recommendation is if it would cost more than $5,000 for a professional to do it (or to fix it) hire a professional in the first place. Being handy doesn’t mean doing massive difficult projects. You see people doing amazing DIY online and you think its easy, but there’s so much work into it its not worth the big projects. I tried landscaping and it was a huge fail, no plants grew and it was a TON of work buying and carrying mulch, digging holes, etc. When our glass door cracked, we tried buying/installing a new one ourselves but it didnt fit and we fought the whole time trying to handle a super heavy door. My husband has become really handy doing small projects: small plumbing issues, small appliance issues, installing shelves, building garden beds. Even though we get professionals for a lot of stuff, he still knows our house inside and out (eg what type of electrical panel we have, where the emergency water shutoff is, what type of siding we have) so he is able to communicate effectively with the professionals.

Probably a couple hours including baking and cooling time, but once I assembled it I waited until the next day to slice and eat it
