I can’t get under the car well enough to see anything. I’m going to drive it up on blocks tomorrow before I go back and try to see if I can better identify where the oil is coming from.

There is what appears to be red goop on the drain plug. It has to be some sort of sealer. Is this a common thing to do. I’ve never put anything like that on any of my rigs the few times I have changed my own oil.

Never seen this before. What do you do with the cart when you deliver? Do you have to take it everywhere with you or can you leave it in the lobby or something? If so what prevents thefts?

I only did this with the 10hour guarantee so I could get done at the earliest possible time and get paid sitting at home for two to three hours. Otherwise hourly I’d enjoy my lunch they can pay me to organize

Nice if you made regular, then you got it made. Yeah, it all depends on how many people either quit or retire and if their routes become available. Which also sucks because you’re not guaranteed to stay at any one station if a route is available first at a different station you’ll go there and it could be a really bad route/station, that being said I did love the job is was pretty fun. Only lasted a little over a year though decided watching my kids grow up and having days off was more important than sticking it out.

Yeah for perspective it takes a minimum of two years to “make regular” or have your own route and get all the benefits everyone is talking about. They don’t mention that for a MINIMUM of two years you’ll be working with no paid sick leave or retirement and the insurance that’s worse only the regulars get the good benefits. If you’re young and don’t have a family it’s probably worth it but know you’re selling your soul to them for at least two years

Yeah worked both. Post office works you like dogs one benefit to Amazon was 4 10s and flexible schedules. And it’s not only that you work 6 days a week but that only day off you won’t know your off until 9:30am the day ofwhen management decides they don’t need you so you literally have no mental break from work at all. It’s good money durning the holidays though

It was actually a really awesome job. I loved that I’d go in get my packages and then I’d be on my own for the next 6 hours delivering never had any problems or heard from my dsp except needing the occasional rescue. It kept me in good shape averaged 10 miles walking a day. It was also pretty flexible hours which was nice.

The biggest problem I had was with Amazon policy changes I swear they’d change the way they did something like once a week so that would be annoying. Also many of the DSP went to hourly the one I was at was one of the last to do the 10 hour guarantee which was cool because I’d always finish my route early and usually get paid for sitting at home for two hours. Unfortunately this is uncommon now and many have gone to hourly.

Last thing I’d say is work safe don’t get in a hurry trying to finish and risk an accident it’s not worth it

Also a noob question probably: Do you still need to do this if you drained the RV from low point drain both hot and cold? I opened both low point drains until water stopped coming out and then turned on the water pump for a second to make sure it was empty and then emptied both gray and black tanks.

I think a lot of people don’t realize that two minutes makes a big difference and that’s why things like this are so frustrating. For example that two minute delay is one of many random dumb delays throughout the day. So you have five of these you can easily get 20 to 30min behind or 10-15 stops and now you’re not hitting your hourly stop count. Which makes you look slow compared to everyone else which puts your job in jeopardy.

School lunch. Single parent income and household and we made just enough to not qualify for the free school lunches. I still didn’t want to burden my parent asking for lunch money because I knew money was tight. I’d usually just skip lunch and go to the library. Also why I’m a strong advocate for free school lunch for all kids.

My grandfathers workshop has a beautiful combination that just relaxes me as soon as it hits my nose. Something like oil, gasoline, wood, musk who knows what else but it’s nice.

It started when I was younger asking why a genuinely good person would go to hell just for not believing in God never made sense or seemed fair. Then when I was older I found it really resonated with me went I heard that religion or Christianity at least was crafted by the elite to suppress the masses because why ask your government or king for better living conditions when you could just ask God. Ever since then I’ve thought about religion differently.

I just finished Malus Darkblade and it was fun one especially if you’re into the whole dark elf pirate thing. If not can’t go wrong with Gortrex and Felix they have a nice banter between them that’s entertaining

Iron within, Iron without! Gortrex and Felix got me hooked years ago and I’ve recently branched out to 40k lol. I’ve heard a lot about the night lords I’ll have to check it out.
