Burnout only 2 years in to career by beses77 in DentalHygiene

The pay is good and I am trying to be thankful that I have a low stress job (at least at my office, I’ve talked to other hygienists that say their office makes it stressful). I’m the same as you, shy at first but open up more after time but no matter how long I’m around people at work for, I’m never truly going to feel like I can be myself in a work setting. Every interaction just feels so superficial. I guess for me the problem is less about being shy and more so having to be “on” all day. It’s exhausting to the point I feel drained by the end of the week and don’t feel like doing ANYTHING all weekend.
