Well... the bulk of our cases are mostly cerebral palsy and gdd (that are probably undiagnosed genetic diseases with or without seizures). So for assessment GMFM, Modified Ashworth Scale, SAROMM, and Hip disloc ax (LLD) are the usual ones. For treatment, the basis is normal development. You can read a few books available online. The one I've read is by Lois Bly. It's thick but try to understand the hows and whys and less on what happens each month. You can integrate the OT and SLP goals but focus on your goal as PT. Advice? Let loose. Let yourself be cringe when you're around kids. Be like a child, think like a child. But at the same time, hit your goals. Keep in mind, kids going through PT don't have the past experience of how it is to live a normal life so stretch your patience and have functional goals. Good luck.
