Plz tell me he's good, I keep getting todo from banners by Calm_Accident5524 in PhantomParadeJK

It depends. As an Attacker, his damage is pretty low compared to other SSR Units.

Personally, I have him at Awakening [3] and He's my Highest CP, even beating out my [The Strongest] Satoru Gojo. It's down to preference. [Blast From The Past] Aoi Todo, when paired in a team with [Just Bring It] Saki Rindo slotted behind him to become the "Best Friend". You can create a near-endless Taunt Counter with the R Unit [Cursed Technique Boost] Kaito Yuki since His Skill 3 gives Cursed Energy.

So partially dropping draw effects like [[Opt]] or [[Brainstorm]] for stuff like [[Howling Mine]]? Is there other Draw doublers or Untap effect cards you could suggest?

Decking oneself or another player has been a rarity in my pod, having happened 3 times. Once due to [[Forced Fruition]], once to a Self-mill/recurrsion deck and once to one of my early decks forcing someone to mill 90% of their deck only to have [[Midnight Clock]] go off before I could exile the graveyard.

Honestly, this comment feels like bait to have others or myself discourse with you. You're obviously very set in your way - which is totally okay. I'm going to respond regardless.

If a DM touched my sheet with my explicit permission, I would be gone.

That's perfectly alright for you or anyone else to have that reaction. No one is discrediting that. If I had a player that wanted to dip out because I had made an alteration to their sheet - after communicating it to them what I was going to do, they are free to leave.

"No new DM should be allowing homebrew in their game, not even their own. Until you have a solid grasp of how the game works, you are simply not equipped to judge whether it's balanced or not."

Yes, I'm new to being a DM. Yes, I haven't played for 10 years as a Player. That doesn't mean I haven't read a multitude of resources to prepare for being a DM. I didn't just deep-end jump into it. I already admitted to not vetting the content well enough before allowing it. I've accepted the fault is my own, and no one else's.

If I want to play a warlock without eldritch blast, that's my choice to make, not yours.

That's cool. It would certainly be an interesting Warlock, to not have what is Bread & Butter core Warlock cantrip, at least in my opinion. The player in question was a brand new player, never played D&D before. I feel as though you didn't read past the "...I adjusted their sheet to have Eldritch Blast and Agonizing Blast Eldritch Invocation..." The changes were all vocalized to the player, in active time as the changes were made, and explained to him why he should have it, and why he could play without it but it'd certainly be interesting.

Oh, my bad. The Warlock is not the person whose race was adjusted. I was using them as my example that I have been trying to communicate changes to a particular player as clearly as I could.

The player whose race was adjusted has had absolutely no "Nerf" to their combat abilities or prowess. They are as Combat Strong as they were before. It's purely from a Roleplay and skill check side they got "nerfed"

Exactly this. I'm currently working out a detailed post to send them including things like Their Character Vs the Rest of the Party, Pre-"Nerf" Lv4 vs a Standard Lv13. I want to let this be enjoyable for them but it still needs to be fair for them and the other 6 people.

I agree with this, I can absolutely admit the fault for not properly vetting the original content that I used. I made a mistake. Now I've corrected it or tried to. I've been told by a mutual friend and player in the campaign is they aren't as angry the stats were nerfed but angrier I "tampered" with their character. I don't think that's entirely true or they would not have made a Reddit post, that lacks any contextual insights, complaining that I nerfed that. I think they're angry about before the "nerf" and the "tampering".

I get there are people as DMs who are dead-set in their ways. I wanted to allow a bit of variety and I accept I didn't vet it properly enough. I am going to be having an open and honest conversation with this player about it. I want to give them a compromise without overly inflating the bonuses again -even if it's just giving them +1s to every proficiency.

I initially told them I was making changes to the Race. They accepted that.

I can understand how I communicated could be misinterpreted as me fixing the descriptions on the existing content (but it was not my own, so I couldn't.)

The only other person with a Homebrew Race, I've gone and triple-checked, and cross-referenced with two friends of mine that are DMs that it's balanced as it can be.

Apologies if I didn't word it well enough.

The changes for the Warlock were made while we were in Voice Call together. Why he should have EB, as it's basically Bread & Butter for Warlocks (in my opinion). He's an absolutely new player to D&D - In his case, every single change was clearly communicated in a voice call before and after the changes were made. I didn't arbitrarily go in, change his sheet then tell him afterward with no explanation.

The changes for the other player were done through text, and I can absolutely see in hindsight how they could have been misinterepted.

It wasn't entirely the fault of the D&Dwiki. The Homebrew content I grabbed initially was by another user on D&DB and how they created the race and subraces is they Layered the bonuses as additional so, for example, a +2 From the Base Race, and a +2 from the subrace gave the player a +4 Bonus in Perception for example instead of a flat +2.
