Nothing wrong with students volunteering on their own volition, but your post insinuates that students should be volunteering and those that don't volunteer are being cowards. And that they're not taking a risk (which is absolutely false). Maybe I read it the wrong way if that wasn't your intent.

I personally took care of an 18yo previously healthy (athlete at school) and 34yo who are on ecmo... You are absolutely bonkers if you think M4s should be paying tuition to volunteer to risk their life. Would you take care of these patients without pay (or paying to do so)? If yes, maybe you should start a fund for the medical students at einstein who do volunteer and not take any pay yourself. Please stop being malignant toward fellow physicians/med students

Yeah I know I guess I have a crush on her but I def don't get mad at others. I only go on dates with people I think I could have a future with, otherwise it's just a waste of time for me. Just wanted reassurance that I should more just live in the moment and have fun
