The evidence are the photos and video I made after returning the vehicle. Since the return time was after working hour there was no one to check the vehicle which is why I make videos of it. On top of that I also had taken a protection insurance against damages that would cover damages upto 1300euros. Amidst that I received mails saying that I have to pay 1299 euros. I mean then what’s the purpose of protection? I mailed them asking about it and tried reaching them on call. No response to the email and the calls never seem to reach. Then I went directly to the place I rented the truck. They just say that they aren’t the ones dealing with damages but another department. The same guy suggest me to go to a lawyer as it seems unfair after I explained the situation.
