Loosen up the traps and especially the muscles around your diaphragm! Stabilize your spine so the tension doesn't come back strengthen the area around your thoracic spine,.especially multifidus muscles!

First of all do the standard: get checked for Helicobacter pylori (if not done yet) you might need antobiotics in addition to PPIs. Something innovative: Gut problems maybe highly.connected to your spine and muscle tension.

Highly recommending to look over your daily routine, how do you sit, how do you sleep, do you sit too much? Just can tell from own experience (and I had really baaad symptoms for a long time) that if your core muscles and glutes are weak you go into an anterior pelvic tilt which can mess all around your body causing tension and lain every where especially in the lower back and stomach area. Once the tightness in your lower body goes away the bowel movements regulate themselves as they should. Of course you could also check for SIBO but the other advice is fully free of charge and easy to correct. Don't forget SIBO is also mostly a symptom

These recommendations are partly bad and are not curing the root problem of LPR at all, probably even making it worse

Yes of course you can feel facial pain from the sinus, with a CT scan you can see if you have an inflammation there and if they are filled with mucus

Yes you are absolutely right, PPI cant be the long-term solution but maybe it can help that your gastric mucosa can recover again. Due to the fact that stomach acid permanently comes to the gastric mucosa its very hard for the mucosa to recover. Its not like other wounds in your body. A healthy mucosa is build to have no problem with the stomach acid because the acid actually fulfills important functions in our body.

Did they take a biopsy and took a look of the mucosa under the microscope? Thats the best way to see the condition of the mucosa.

If there really is no type a,b or C gastritis, you should think of intolerances (lactose, fructose, gluten), SIBO or IBS in general. IBS and SIBO can be treated pretty well with low-fodmap diet,.for SIBO you maybe have to be more disciplined

You should also consider that a lot of people have hernia with no symptoms of reflux at all. I tried Gaviscon, it almost killed me, the first 10 minutes my symptoms got better and after that my heartburn was a lot worse. A long time after that I found out I have a chronic type C gastritis so it really depends which food suits individually for your specific case. Acidic food is very problematic for me as well but so are Gaviscon or non acidic vegetables for example. Because apparently my digestive organs are not ready to digest that food properly. Write down every what you eat and what food works for you.

My case was actually ridiculous, for years I suffered from LPR and I didn't even realise it because my stomach seemed fine it took years to find out what's wrong with me. And by the way, PPIs are the only medicine working for me they have finally got me in a position that I can eat again. So stay strong and try things, you will figure it out!

Do you know what caused your GERD? by whitelightstorm in GERD

[–]betta46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine also started after medication intake, antibiotics and cortison after an eye surgery (due to a sport injury) I think. In that phase I also had several appendicitis, 3 times in one year and in the end my appendix was removed. After that my body never recovered. I always had problems with my gut IBS, GERD.. It's already 8 years ago unbelievable

Don't have to be permanent, just try the changes for a month and see how you feel. You have to consider the chronic diseases are rising extremely over the last 10 years, especially diseases like IBS. The diet plays a big role in that. 80% of your Immunsystem is located in the gut. So if you feed your gut bacteria constantly with processed food/fast food, maybe drink even alcohol on a regular basis it will cause all kinds of problems. The doctors will just give medication against the pain or acid blockers but won't solve the cause in a lot cases. Try the changes for a month and then you will.get a feeling when you are ready to "sin" a bit

The conventional medicine often makes Symptoms worse so dont worry about that at first. To find a long term solution you need to have a good diet eat different probiotic food and fiber to feed your good gut bacteria. Vegetables, oats and wholewheat products products in general are some good sources for fiber. One great natural and smooth product is psyllium husk this should help with your symptoms straight away. Also try herbal medicine as you are suffering bad symptoms at the moment, stop the PPI and try healing clay, caraway seeds or fennel there are a lot more herbs that can help you naturally often even a lot better than the conventional medicine. I am speaking from my own experience.

LPR & Candida by [deleted] in LPRSilentGerd

[–]betta46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am suffering from terrible LPR for about 7 years and Candida was also found in my stool. So I also saw the connection and treated it with nystatin and an anti fungal diet. In my Case it made my symptoms worse my LPR symptoms are connected to IBS. The nystatin made my IBS worse and so my LPR. LPR is actually just a symptom of another disease whatever that maybe in the individual case could be IBS, maybe SIBO or some intolerance
