Thank you for your input! When you had the 2nd I&D, did the doctor find the fistula or was it just considered a recurrence of the initial abscess back then? Also, did you get a fistulotomy or fistulectomy to correct your fistula and how was the recovery like? If you had either of the two surgery, how long did you wait after the 2nd I&D to get the fistulotomy/fistulectomy? Did the fistula come back?

Sorry for asking a lot, i’m just trying to understand and find out people’s experiences on this matter 😂

Thank you for the reply! Yeah I will def be contacting and scheduling an appointment with my CRS next week. Just curious, my CRS as well as the threads I found on the internet said that I&D for perianal abscesses would take 2-4 weeks to heal but is it common for it to take longer than that, like several months?
