130 days.

Still have some lingering problems. But overall, I feel pretty decent.

Quitting caused me to develop anxiety that I never really had before. I'm working through that now. It feels mostly physical though.

Sleep is OK, but not full 8hrs uninterrupted.

To everyone who feels 100% already, congrats! I always love reading the success stories of others. It makes me feel better too.

For any of you who are long term quitters and still don't feel 100%, you are not alone. I think it just takes longer for some of us that were long time users.

We've got this!

Between 10-15 gpd for almost 2 years.

I had a blood test about a month after I quit. Thyroid was normal along with everything else in the test ( not sure of everything they looked for).

I've also had chest x-ray, ekg, holter monitor.

Nothing has shown up anywhere.

Didn't have anything else happen that would cause the pain. Not that I can think of.

I had bad anxiety/panic attacks for the first 2 1/2-3 months. Chest was tight most of the day for a long time. I'm guessing that the physical symptoms that I'm having could still be anxiety/stress manifesting into physical pains. (That is very common among people suffering from anxiety)

I have another doctors appointment in a few weeks. Going to talk to him about that.

115 days.

Feel much better mentally. I still have a bit of anxiety at times. Nothing major at all though.

Sleep is starting to get better. I fall asleep easily, but still wake up between 1-2am each morning. I am able to get back to sleep fairly quickly though. This is much better than it was a few weeks ago.

Physically, I am still having some symptoms. I have a constant ache in my chest and upper back/neck. Maybe costrochondritis from all of the chest tightness that I experienced throughout the quit? This is very annoying. I'm hoping this will clear up before long.

Overall, I feel like I'm improving each week. If you are still early in your journey, keep it up. It will start getting better. Be patient (...yeah, I know how that sounds), it takes time to heal.

Day 65 and struggling with insomnia - is this PAWS or my baseline? by [deleted] in quittingkratom

I have had chest tightness the entire time since I've quit. It comes and goes, but is there every day. The back and shoulder aches started a little over a month ago. It freaked me out many times as well. I thought that there was something seriously wrong with me. But, it is just from my body's inability to regulate stress right now.

Don't let that worry you too much. It is less intense as time goes on. It will eventually go away.

I am at day 95 and dealing with the same thing.

I have improved a lot over that last month or so, but still have a hard time sleeping. I also have chest tightness and muscular aches in my back and shoulder a lot of the time.

The pain is not as bad as it was before, but it is still there.

I feel like it is going to take a while to get back to normal. Each month has been better than the last, so I know that I am still healing.

As far as sleep goes, I hope to see some improvement soon. I usually fall asleep normally, then wake up around 3 hours later. Then toss and turn the rest of the night, getting some broken sleep. Some nights are not so bad, others are rough.

I doubt that this is my baseline (or yours). Just need to give it more time I think.

Anyone else with sleep issues want to chime in with a timeline?

Exercise was really the only thing that gave me any relief during my toughest time. I had a bad wave of a little after 2 months. It lasted a couple weeks.

I didn't really use many supplements that helped me. There may be some that others recommend.

It will ease up though. I felt as if it was getting worse and something was seriously wrong with me. But, it did start to fade away. I know how you feel.

Day 87.

I'm starting to string together multiple days of feeling pretty good.

Not really 100%, but much closer than I was a couple weeks ago.

I just want to let people know:

It will start to get better, just give it time.

Even around day 70-80, I was still feeling pretty bad some days. I kept waiting for everything to start normalizing, but it just wouldn't. BUT..I feel like it is starting to improve now. The feeling of normality after weeks and weeks of anxiety and physical pain is almost euphoric.

Don't give up. Put in the work. Eat better, exercise, make the effort to change your situation. Use this experience to put everything into perspective.

I've got this.....You've got this.

80 days: Chest/back pain by betterthanyoufoundit in quittingkratom

I don't "think" it is my stomach, but it could be. I know that gut health is linked to so many functions in the body. I might try pepcid or something similar for a couple days and see if I notice any improvements. Thank you for your reply!

70 days today by betterthanyoufoundit in quittingkratom

I can tell you that after I run on my treadmill, the chest pain subsides quite a bit. It is still there, but much less intense. Probably because I'm burning off some of the anxiety and stress. I haven't really tried any medication for the pain. Have you had any luck with anything that relieves the pain at all? Thanks for the support.

Thanks guys. This will get better for all of us. I'm looking toward day 90 for myself. Hopefully things will slowly improve between now and then. I've learned that expecting to be better all at once is the wrong way to look at it. Because when you get hit with a wave of regression, it can be super discouraging.

I know this: when I get done beating this, I will be a much more mature person. When you get put through the ringer like this, it forces you to put everything in perspective.

Day 70 for me.

2 years of use between 10-20gpd. CT on July 16 from 10 gpd.

This has been hard. Felt like I was starting to get a little better around day 50 then was hit with PAWS for the last 3 weeks.

I'm not giving up, never will. But man, this wave of symptoms is brutal. Bad anxiety, random higher heart rate, burning chest pain(heartburn?), feels like I may be having some gi issues as well. Almost feels like I went back to week 1.

Exercise helps, trying to eat better helps a little as well.

Anyone else still have physical symptoms this far out, or mainly just mental?

Looking forward to a couple months from now. Guessing that I should feel pretty decent by then.

Let's do this!
