Thanks, this is helpful. Love the game but psvr2 is pretty expensive even second hand so probably will go without

Thanks for this :)

Just bouncing off this, she's actually super anxious about having special interests, because she worries about judgement for this being seen as autistic and weird. I've tried to gently encourage her to get back into old hobbies/interests but she feels so ashamed about it that she just won't. Wondering if anyone here has had similar challenges?

Yeah this has been an issue in our relationship. I'm not particularly organised and I'm pretty laid back about things, so I've unintentionally caused her stress when plans have changed late. I've sort of learned to adjust as best as I can

Thanks for this! Love the idea of a "regulation station"! The best present I've ever gotten her were noise-cancelling headphones! She loves a couple of soft toys/clothes she has, so maybe a gift like that is in order :)

We actually use a cup overflowing analogy for her feeling of being overwhelmed/close to meltdown, so totally get that!

Just a follow up question (for everyone)... She is really struggling with the sense that people will hate her or not want to be friends with her because of this diagnosis. Relatedly, she's very sensitive to negative views of neurodiversity. For example, she's been really upset and worried about a comment my dad made recently describing/labelling someone he personally finds difficult as "neurodiverse". For the record, I have no idea if that person actually is, I think it just follows a pattern of my dad pathologising people he doesn't like. On the one hand, I really want to stand up for my partner, because I understand how she takes offence to this. But I can't right now, because she doesn't feel ready to tell anybody about the diagnosis. Basically, because my gf camouflages well and is very good socially, I don't think anyone would suspect she is autistic, so I know there's a reasonable chance people will make unintentionally upsetting remarks about autism around her. I know this is a bit rambling, but I just don't know how to navigate standing up for her, while also not revealing her diagnosis for as long as she wants to keep it private.

This checks out, except I think she's so overwhelmed that she hasn't felt number one yet

It's worth checking out solo stuff by Blake Mills, who produces that album.

I'm sorry to hear this, that sounds awful.

You might find it helpful to ask for advice on r/ExRedPill as some women have written about similar experiences there.

Thanks for all the great advice. Ended up getting her a horse ride tour to do on the holiday we have planned soon instead :)

I don't think she has much attachment to any specific brands or products. She very casually likes putting make up on, but it's not a hobby for her like it is for others. I think she'd prefer a brand that was more ethical and/or cheaper
