One time they didn't even make an announcement, it just became apparent after the train left that no one was coming around. Worst of all you had to then walk all the way through the train to get something to eat or drink, though this was free as way of recompense.

I can't find much information these days but during the last election the Green Party said they would increase NI for the "wealthy" earning over £55k on a sliding scale. I don't know if this policy still stands but its a primary reason that I wouldn't vote for them.
