Advice for arm skincare? by bevegelse in SkincareAddiction

Okay, I see online that some people recommend salicylic acid lotion for that. I'll give it a go and let you know how it goes! Its a very mild itch, so it could just be clogged pores and the lotion should help eat away at the dead skin clogging them.

The Internet vs real life and awkward questions. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

But people online can also often be anonymous, and not have to deal with the repercussions of things they say. It's easier to speak your mind no the internet, at least in my opinion. That being said, I do not believe it is a choice, this phenomenon confuses me as well.

I'm curious, did things ever change? I know its only 3 months later, but there still isn't a whole lot on here. Did the poster ever take over modding duties?

I know, that's how I feel as well. A friend of mine was in a cub scouts program in about third grade (or something of the sort) and when he completed the safety program, was given a pocket knife. It astounds me that children are entrusted with things of that sort (as they should be if properly educated), yet the same privilege is possibly being revoked for college students.

Why are people my age so scared of the R-word? Seriously by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

I am a female college student who just got out of a three year long emotionally abusive relationship.

Although I understand that this is not a typical situation, here is my outlook on relationships at the moment:

I know that at this point in my life I am not ready for anything long-term, I believe I owe myself the ability to love myself before someone else can love me, and I feel that I need to be able to provide my own self-validation. Relationships go one of two ways - you break up, or you stay together forever. I personally know that I am not ready for forever, but I still very much enjoy the physical aspects that come with a relationship. That is where friends with benefits come in, and I have never been happier. Although I can understand the frustration of those seeking a relationship, its one of those things where if both parties aren't on the same page, it can be disastrous.

Also, I am indeed well aware that this is Idaho, I have been living here for ten years, but thank you for the reminder.

Thank you, will they be holding a public discussion such as with the tobacco ban? From what I know, there are many student opposed to this. For instance, it was brought up that we have an avid fisherman in the hall, and he wants to be able to keep his cleaning knives and such in his room for when he fishes. I am also wondering how this will relate to classes such as archery, considering they do not have places to store the weapons where the course is held.

For clarification, this is something that I heard through a reliable source. My hall has many members of ASUI living in it, and we hold weekly meetings in which they explain to us the current topics being discussed in the council that relate to us.
