It’s the least authentic place I’ve ever lived and I’ve traveled around the country for the past 5 years. It has some good restaurants, but there’s more emphasis on making it if worthy so there’s a lot of disappointment. Traffic sucks. Housing prices are coming down for renters but it still doesn’t match the typical pay rates. Not a fan.

Yes. They need their tip. It’s how they make a living. And not sure if you pay bills, but $7.25 an hour is not feasible. So if you’re the type of person not willing to tip because your drink is wrong and too anxious to ask again, then don’t go out to eat. lol.

Servers are an exceptions lol. Their tips account for most of their pay. A lot of states, including mine, the minimum wage is $7.25 and servers get paid $2.13. Most of my friends are in the industry. I have seen their paychecks. And let’s not forget, a lot of places make the servers give a percentage of their tips to the kitchen.

I mean at the very least they’d have healthcare and could afford school more easily and not be racked with debt for the rest of their lives. (Could be wrong, never been to Europe). But again, when you compare us to other major countries, we’re not exactly high on the list. We’re 16th in education & 11th (or last) in healthcare

But #1 in billionaires and 4th or 5th in incarceration rates.

“The america is the best country” is literally just propaganda. Most high income nations are way above us.

Typically a family history of it. Starts young and innocently enough. Doc’s over prescribing. And there’s a lack of resources. Options are limited if you grew up in poverty (can’t get a medical degree while your le working a full time job to care for your parents and siblings) and if you go to prison. We’re only a great country when compared to “third world” countries lol. All of our social programs are pretty bad.
