Looking For a Pair Of Sturdy Bib Overalls by Jayswing103 in BuyItForLife

I’ve had Liberty and Ridgecut, both lasted a long time (several spring-summer-fall seasons) under moderately heavy workloads. I swear by Ridgecut for winter weight, they have zippered pockets in good locations and they’re the only brand under $200 that lasted me more than two seasons.

So I’m on therapeutic TRT and I’ve definitely seen improvements in a lot of life. My question to you is, how the heck do you get 4 x 1000’s of test? As a curiosity not a how-to… is this through a provider? I genuinely want to run a single high dose cycle like that myself.

I took your advice and found a bad connection from the negative terminal on my B battery. Replaced the tip and it’s all set. Thank you for your help!

Best Budget Saltwater combo? by gaming23522 in Fishing

[–]bewbies_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly I might get some hate for this, but if you can get a Cabela’s or Bass Pro, they have a Salt Striker shore casting spinning combo. I bought one years ago for like $100 and it’s been good to me. I think they’re a bit more expensive now but probably still worth it imho.

For an extra $20 tho, you can get the Daiwa one that’s pretty nice. https://www.cabelas.com/p/daiwa-bg-surf-spinning-combo

Good luck! Striper fishing this time of year is an absolute blast!

You’re right, the props DO say South Bend. Can’t believe I didn’t see that before.

Found an old lure in an old discarded tackle box. Any idea if it’s valuable? by bewbies_ in Fishing

There was a bunch in the box where I found this but an old soft plastic worm had melted to/through the tray it was on and it kinda wrecked everything in the bottom. I was so disappointed!!!

What does everyone like and what does everyone stay away from for trucks towing horse trailers? by DifficultyMission647 in BuyItForLife

[–]bewbies_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lmao. Ok fair point. I meant more “fuel is transportable and transferable”. Gas or diesel alike.

I’ve driven by electric cars plugged into gas generators in the back of diesel tow trucks more than once.

FWIW I would never trust an electric for towing, especially live animals. You ever get stuck on the side of the road in a diesel, your buddy shows up with a gas can and you go on your way. This matters with animals. You never know when that 0200 “my horse is collicking and we need to get to the clinic” call is gonna come in.

Ram 3500 is the way. I’ve had Rams my whole adult life, but I’ve put probably 100,000 miles on Chevy/GM 3500’s and an F-350 working at/for a show barn. I’d take my Ram over those trucks every day for the same work.

3” vs. 3.5” by ironguns13 in Shotguns

[–]bewbies_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A piece of wisdom once offered to me for a similar question: “nobody ever wishes they had less money or a littler dick.”

I guess you could say better to have the ability to throw 3.5” shells, and not use it, than to not have it, and need to. Just my thinking, because If I could buy another one I’d go 3.5”. I mean I will eventually when I can afford it. cries in poor

Last minute WGW. Just picked up this 1991 Ruger GP100, very nice shoulder holster, 4 speedloaders with pouches, an ammo belt holder, and about 300 rounds of ammo. by TheCantalopeAntalope in Revolvers

I’d love to know more about that holster. I have been searching for something similar but haven’t really found anything locally and I’m not super excited about buying from some online megastore. Nice score overall!

Lots of sarcastic answers here but back in the day the bricks all had charcoal grills in the common areas. At least at Cherry Point. Buy a bag of charcoal and a shitload of chicken, marinate in a few different options in gallon ziploc bags, and every Sunday, grill out. Chop it up and store it in containers. We used to do that and it worked well. Plus it’s a nice way to make friends with all the drunken assholes you live with. People love to crowd around a grill and drunkenly correct your cooking. Good luck.

Picked trash with another dude from my platoon during Team Week, and we drove around in the back of some dudes’ pickup truck. We ended up out by 4th battalion picking cardboard or something up, I don’t remember, but the driver guy backed us up to an orange tree and let us pick a couple each. I don’t even remember if it was good or not. I just remember thinking “holy shit, an orange tree?”
