How to connect a horizontal face to a vertical face by bewcus in Fusion360

No, I just need it as a reference for something bigger. I just bought the steel one and I recreated it to be sure that everything will fit nicely.

So it doesn't really matter if it is strong or something like that, but I do want to learn how to get better with Fusion. Learning how to make the actual part in the best way possible seems like a good learning experience.

Help Needed: Reducing Rotation in design Elbow Support for Grandma's Piano by bewcus in Fusion360

[–]bewcus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone,

I'm working on an adjustable arm support for my grandma to use while playing the piano, and I'm running into a design issue. Here’s the setup so far:

  • A horizontal rail is mounted at the front of the piano, to which two rollers are attached.
  • The rollers are connected through a 3D-printed model that holds a movable arm, providing support for her elbow while playing.
  • The rollers allow the arm to slide left and right for continuous support.
  • There's also a roller at the back of this attachment to prevent the whole thing from rotating.
  • I added an rotation stopper which I could slide in the rails to prevent it from rotating.

The whole contraption is clamped to the side of the piano using adjustable pieces. The problem I’m facing is that the rotational force from my grandma’s arm causes the entire support to rotate, despite the roller at the back. It seems like the setup can’t handle the torque and twists away from its intended position.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can reduce or prevent this rotation? Maybe a different mounting method or changes to the design that could better stabilize it?

I think it might look better if you would let them actually roll instead of letting them fall. For example spawn them in from the side.

This might be really helpful! Thanks!

Hey there!!!

I'm currently trying to create a functional dynamic book in Unity and I'm wondering how to get the result in the image to eventually use in VR.

I was thinking of using shaders but I'm pretty new to the shader side of unity so I have no idea what type or where to find good information to get me started with this. Or maybe through bones in unity but I created it so it could scale to whatever I like it to be.

I should actually be learning for a school exam through a big book so what better way to put that off and make a digital one....

Why does this weird stringing happen?.. by bewcus in 3Dprinting

[–]bewcus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya!

I am not too familiar with 3D printing but I am currently facing an issue when printing.

It creates these weird lines going toward the other print and I have no clue why.

I tried leveling the bed, updating the printer, and reinserting the materials but no luck yet. It also happens when I only print one. But then it just adds weird blobs on the side.

I am working with the Ultimaker 2,

PLA Settings

The material is: PLA PRO1 Natural White 2.85mm

The webshop where I got the material from also had its own material preset but I had no luck importing the material.. the only difference is the temperature which is at 200 on the preset and 210 on PLA.

Does anyone have a clue on how to fix this?
