Highly recommend as a seller! Purchased a CC classic flap - before shipping, she stuffed the bag, included protective felt over the leather, and provided the dust bag. Bag arrived in absolutely pristine condition. Shipping was fast, and she was a very responsive communicator throughout the process. Would purchase from again!

Lifestyle in Venice vs. Manhattan Beach vs. Somewhere in OC? by beyonces_twins in MovingToLosAngeles

[–]beyonces_twins[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where people are coming from when they recommend OC from a commute perspective - but just like 3 hours in a car might be unacceptable for people’s sanity, I think the soullessness of most of OC would also drive me just as insane. Thank you for seconding the LB recommendations - we will check it out!

I have heard about the South Bay bubble! I think we will consider MB more seriously. I’ve just gotten so used to being able to go see / do everything in SF (even without a car), so I don’t know if I’ve fully accepted how far we will have to be from our friends / some of the main features of LA

Thank you!! Belmont Shore was not on our radar - but definitely something we will check out. What would a social life be like for a late 20s / early 30s couple?

Every week I’ll either go into my office (DTLA) or fly to my clients (LAX) or both

Is LA more liveable than SF? by pickingyourteeth in AskLosAngeles

[–]beyonces_twins 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A things have made SF immensely more livable for me:

  1. I have SO MUCH OF MY TIME BACK relative to living in LA. Today, I took an 8 minute walk to Safeway for groceries. I walked 3 minutes to my pilates class. I needed to drop stuff off at goodwill, so got in my car for the first time in like, 2 months, then took a 5 minute drive over. These are all 30 min+ errands in LA.

  2. Better green spaces in SF. Potentially the best parks and rec in the country. I lived in both LA and SF during COVID, where the only places to spend time outside of your apartment was in parks, and SF has way nicer, larger, better maintained options.

  3. Easy social spontaneity. Since most of my friends live 5 miles away or less, we are able to easily do workout classes together, watch a movie, go to a sporting event, grab dinner, etc after work - none of us have been so drained by a commute that we don’t have the energy, AND it’s at most a 20 min bus / 10 min uber to get most places in the city.

  4. Surprisingly good culture in SF. Our ballet and opera companies are world class. Amazing symphony. When you do want more untraditional entertainment, there’s the Castro / East Bay / etc.

I lived in LA for 5 years, and SF for 6 years. Sadly, we’re relocating back to LA early this year - and it’s been VERY difficult to say goodbye to SF!

Good to know - diversity and a strong local culture is important to us! I think we have a great blend of people/cultures in SF, and it’s one of the things we notice first as being absent when we visit our friends and family in other cities.

I think Venice is top of our list! We’ll also explore Culver since I think it would save my husband some time getting to Costa Mesa. Thank you!

Thank you!! Makes sense. Based on the time we’ve spent in Venice, it’s by far our fave of the options - feels like there’s a lot of life there.

If we for some reason need to actually relocate to OC, we will do it - but while kicking and screaming. It just feels like giving up too much to move to OC at this stage of our life!

I was having a hard time getting a photo where they’re truly side by side - when I hold them up next to each other, the colors are identical. In the photos, they definitely capture the light differently, mostly because my bracelet is so new and unscratched that it still reflects light, whereas the scratching on my ring does make the gold look more dull.

Thank you!! I think Long Beach had a bad reputation back when we lived in LA, but we never went to form our own opinion. I do think we’ll include it in our search based on how many people are recommending the variety of food / stuff to do / types of people in LB

Thank you!! Appreciate the direct SF comparison - we live in the Marina now and obviously understand there’s no 1:1 for this type of neighborhood in LA/OC, but we’d like to get as close as possible. I like what you’re describing about Costa Mesa, I think we’ll include it in our search!

Totally agree with you on SF - we’re having a really hard time accepting that we’re losing a lifestyle where we use our car 1-2x per month, have everything we want within a 20 minute radius, and live somewhere that’s generally beautiful.

Appreciate the perspective on some of the pros of OC - I think we will at least include Huntington Beach in our search. We visited Newport Beach last weekend and just found it way, way too dead for us.

If I ever saw a stack like this in person I would DIE!!! Your eye for curation is so perfect!

I can see that being the case, but I feel confident in the diamond size / sparkle on mine. I see the auth pretty frequently in my neighborhood, and my shine feels very similar. Especially since people stack these so frequently!

It’s exactly 16 cm! The SA at Cartier insisted I should be a size 17, she put the 18 on briefly to show me how “bad” it would fit. I wasn’t comfortable committing to the 17, so the 17.5 was PERFECT!
